PAMS was the Rolls, Maserati, Bentley and Aston-Martin of jingles...once in a while, somebody else may hit a Cadillac, but PAMS hit the top almost every time!
Some stations do. On the east coast especially. This is our sound! 77 WABC (Massive NY powerhouse station) uses these for all their music programming to this day! With Cousin Brucie morrow and other DJ’s. Most of each weekend is classic WABC from the 50s/60s/70s style, since the new owner “revived” the station. They also do music oldies specials on most holidays, like Chrismas, this year we got Brucie’s New Years show! Where it was 6 hours of classic jingles and hits, 4th of July with the “All American Weekend” (where they use the all American PAMS package) (Cousin Brucie is on Saturday’s 6-10pm, after him is Tony Orlando. Yes, I said the “yellow ribbon” guy, he’s a dj now! If you don’t live in the NY, NJ, CT, PA, area, you can listen live online. Or try to do some “DX” (long distance) radio listening at night, where the signals jump across the atmosphere. It only works at night.
