From the collection of our sister organization, the Pan Am Historical Foundation. In 1937, Pan American Airways and Britain's Imperial Airways opened a reciprocal air service to Bermuda. Pan Am used a new Sikorsky S-42B NC-16735, christened "Bermuda Clipper." Imperial used an "Empire" "C" Class flying boat, christened RMA (Royal Mail Aircraft) "Cavalier." This short film has some excellent footage of both aircraft, both inside and out, including passenger amenities.
