It’s only demo 2 buddy calm down, once it gets demo 4 it will probably be able to be in the innovation awards. Besides, this game is very new and many players don’t know about it but we all love it.
I cant get over how genuinely amazing the storytelling and lore behind these bosses is! The Cruel King who just wanted to save his kingdom, and him eventually realising his mistake and helping you train from the afterlife. And Brad, who betrayed his own father and even turned himself into a monster, but his father never gave up on him. Even Red and Blue, even though the only thing we really know about them is that they were hired mercenaries, they are still such cool characters and their dialogue really shows their strong friendship and loyalty to each other. I really can’t wait to see what happens next!

@@MarkUsernamenirvana is the players Demon’s, it doesn’t necessarily mean brad is dead, otherwise that would set up bad lore implications that mean every finale boss of a chapter we fight dies at the end.
Spoilers Its like all the main bosses can have a redemption arc here. Griefer was purely blinded by the voices in his head, and when he had lost, became blinded by anger. He found out about the truth soon enough, however he was enraged and full with hate by then, wanting you dead. Cruel King was blinded by the voices too, but mainly because he wanted to protect his people. The voices must’ve manipulated him to grab the icedagger. If anything, Cruel King is a man who doesn’t want to lose everything he had built up to the point, to the course of trying to rewrite history, but failing in the end. Luckily he does get a redemption arc upon facing him, in a area i’ll call Nirvana, when he calms down and apologises for his immaturity and how he wishes he could’ve talked it out beforehand. It just shows the King wasn’t cruel, he was rather then scared of what would happen, he cared about the people and the kingdom, heck, the voices must’ve said we were some enemy beforehand considering the Cruel King tells us about the voices firsthand and how he also has it, while knowing we dismantled his guards. And the voices, if anything, Griefer was correct, its setting our main villians up, and manipulating them to get what it wants, the SFOTH swords. It says a prophecy about something THEY care about, Cruel King is his kingdom and people, Griefer’s is unknown, he never says it other than a small line where he’s about to stab himself with the venomshank. Worse of all, it knows they will fail against you. And when they do, you gain another. If anything, your getting each sword and being lead with all 7-8 swords, for the voice to take them all.
Each time I listen to this, I just cry immediately. Because if I had a child and wen't through the same thing just like brad, I couldn't cope it at all. The Music Is Beautiful.

Yeah lol, for some reason the mayor's happen to be the most saddened by your choices. Mayor Monty would get full on depressed and probably never come out of his little cabin if Tim was forgotten and died. Mayor Thanyiel(??) would suffer the same consequences, however even worse, knowing that he had seen his son turn into a monster.

I genuinely teared up after seeing this cutscene, along with the music. Now, this is fantastic writing. Block Tales is probably one of, if not the BEST, Roblox games I’ve ever played in my eight years of Roblox.
Fr like block tales is that ones game you dont expect much of but when you dive into it It just make you research more of the lore n stuff 10/10 would play the game again
Even though I’m from Ukraine, I’m learning English and this scene touched me while my friend stupidly skipped this scene, I stayed there and watched it... I was really sad, I hope Major Will meet his son Brad again i love this game :3
That only happened because they had the voices, and Brad stabbed themselves with the sword. If we decide to go against the prophecy, then we might hear the voices

Panacea fits as a song title. A panacea being a cure all. Man needs a cure for whatever poisoned his mind with those thoughts and a cure for what the sword did to him.
I feel so sorry for Brad, things shouldn't have ended up like this, shame that his fate was already decided from the start. Watching the mayor just sit alone with a broken version of his son after the battle made things even more sentimental. Hopefully next chapters will have more great writing like this.

Thaniyel is the mayor of a rural village, so I doubt he knows anything about genetics. One, Brad's entire DNA is altered beyond recognition. Two, all his organs are gone. Look at the Plant's torso. You can see through it and there's no trace of any organs. You could keep his soul inside the Plant using the Ghostwalker if Ghostwalker works that way, however, it'd be quite painful for him considering he'll have to deal with not having any organs. in short: opinion invalidated you dirty eraser

when I realised mid way through the chapter that griefer is the mayor's son and (is probably) just a unfortunate kid made me feel so bad when I eventually murdered him. I genuinely couldn't stop saying "sorry, but i have to do this" when I was fighting bubonic plant.
this boss was somuch better than the Cruel King i mean it's more intense to fight with and the ending is so sad. Definitely a glow up of the game, W development team.
*I respectfully disagree.* He may be harder, but not only can this "Plant" thing be fixed, but Brad is also kind of a jerk. And also, he's in that pink place I forgot the name of and like to call "Crazyland." I'm pretty sure that place is also basically the equivalent of Heaven in this game. So Brad being there means he might not be "fine." On top of that, the Cruel King has an entire redemption arc there, despite literally being dead. This is just my opinion, but I like the Cruel King alot better.
I like cruel king a lot, he gave me unexplainable good memories but brad I straight up went like UHDGFSHUIIHUSEDHGUI WHAT DO I DO, although I did kinda cry at the ending.

Especially because the "Bubonic Plant" thing can supposedly be reversed. (Although he is in the Pink. Heaven-like place, so Brad might not be fine.) Also him being an absolute jerk lost him some likeable points, for me.
This game… a Roblox game… is not only an extremely good game… but is also able to make you feel emotions towards some characters of the game. It’s amazing.
The song gradually transitions into a more hopeful tone so maybe this means brad survived? Possibly even reverted to normal? Idk I'm invested in the lore atp this game is absolute peak Roblox.
As a very sensitive person, I got emotional at the end of Chapter 2 on Block Tales😭 Dude, I felt so bad for the mayor and his son, and the music playing made me even sadder.

This cutscene really reminds me about Cave Story, where Toroko went Rabid, but I still had to kill her just for the sake of saving the island from falling.
Beating this boss was so stressful for both me and my bf but when I reached this part and the music I genuinely was in tears. Such an amazing game, I really hope Brad ends up reaching some sort of redemption period like how the King did.
And so that was the end of Brad a great young lad to his farther.. The voices ended up to be his down fall. Are we the one in the wrong or are we slowly becoming corrupt? After each sword we become more of the wielders more and more corrupt. Rip Brad you were great. If there was a button to comfort the mayor I would fucking do if the loss of somebody you loved / cared for and to watch it happen knowing you couldn’t stop him brings tears to even the most average block tales players. “You did good son real good. This is one of the best games on roblox in all honesty, I love it so much the storytelling is great, and so is the production of it overall, gave me tears at the end of demo 2.
Poor dude, we didnt even get to talk with him like we did with mayor monty (all he did was thanking us) i wonder if things will sort positively for him and his son in next demo
that just made me realise Its either a coping mechanism like the comment above said, or the Mayor knows how to wield it, since he and shedletsky are the only ones which are able to pull out the venomshank. Going by the venomshank theory and how the Mayor knows, is that he may of used the venomshank before to protect his people, he saw the damage he had done and he feels regret over the actions, he knows its reversable, because it probably wasn’t fatal. He constantly tries to lock it at the back of his mind, saying stuff to Brad like “I dont know what your talking about!” etc. Its clear he must’ve done something terrible he regrets to this day, and embedded it within a stone, one in a room where his son would’ve eventually lived there, and entrusted him to keep it safe even though he and shedletsky can pull it out. Or he may have dementia
I’m honestly scared on the next bosses not because how difficult they will get but because how emotional they get. This is only the second chapter and my heart is already breaking. I can already tell the next chapter are get a lot sadder
