Y tito Puente era un virtuoso del timbal, vibrafonos y tocaba el saxofón... y seguro que más. Además de sentir hay que estudiar. Como en todo hay excepciones, pero esas se reservan a los genios, como Chano Pozo (no tenia solfeo, el era su musica y su música era él). Pero la gente normal no son genios. Conclusión: técnica para actuar, disfrutar y lucir más. Te pongo un ejemplo: ¿Quién soy yo para decirle a un bailador flamenco para que no de vueltas? Aquí hay algo fundamental para mí y por lo que veo para tí: no abusar, ni exagerar, tener mesura. Por otra parte, hay gente que baila que no tiene swing y hay gente que baila que parece salida del club de los violentos, hay gente que no tiene elegancia, hay gente que no tiene sabor... a la inversa son los menos. No es fácil. Si bailas para tí, nadie te puede calificar, nadie puede decir que seas bueno ni malo, se respeta lo que hace el vecino aunque se tire por el piso o haga el payaso sin molestar... sin embargo, si bailas de espectáculo, sí te pueden calificar. Ahí hay que aplicar una serie de convenciones para ver si se ajustan bien a ellas en el baile o no... pero las convenciones dependen de quienes las hagan, luego son algo relativo. Exagerando la comparación: un bailador de flamenco no se puede medir con la misma vara que el de clásico y a la inversa. Eso no quita que uno tenga preferencias y las pueda argumentar o simplemente captar por los sentidos o experimentar. Y que pueden ser más o menos atractivas para la gente. Decía Einstein: las cosas son simples, pero no tanto. Se agradece la contestación que tiene bastante sentido. Salsaludos.

Framcis...no se porque, pones ejemplos que no van acorde ...con el " bailar " de esas personas....no bailan bien y punto...a que tanto rodeo....y poner de ejemplo al gran timbalero, vibrafonista..compositor..arreglista..El gran Tito Puente..Q.E.P.D.

@@rolandoapontecornejo1343 Pues si no lo sabes, lo siento. Habrá otros que lean mi contestación y la entiendan... y otros que no. Eso se da por hecho desde el principio. Insisto, lo de decir que se baila bien o mal es muy relativo y subjetivo, que en absoluto se puede aplicar a los bailadores sociales. Y a los bailarines especificando cuáles son las reglas. No baila igual un colombiano, que un puertorriqueño, que un cubano. ¿Quien baila bien y quién mal? Salsaludos.

Ve a academias o profesores que enseñen salsa-mambo, TIEMPO DOS, ON TWO, Eddie Torres Style. Es todo lo mismo. No es solo lo que se ve, sino lo que se dusfruta. Ánimo, tal vez coincidamos en las pistas. Yo aprendí en España con buenos profesores, seguro que encuentras por tu zona. Salsaludos.

I was thinking the same thing. I think she's appropriately dressed, he should have worn just jeans and a tank top. Mind you that men sweat a lot more than women. Also, that club needs to crank up the AC.

the dance and fun etc. are all ok but maybe the key for thumbs down is his jacket all covered in sweat... I saw many cases with shirts covered with sweat... but jacket and so much? never :P if someone know he will sweat out the jacket - he should take it off as being so covered in sweat and not taking off - will ruin the "stylish thing" effect.

Seriously? LOL Clearly, you have never danced! Or, perhaps, do you carry a complete wardrobe with you to a party? Dancing is a physical exercise that makes one sweat. Especially when you're so full of energy like Panagiotis. It's not Kizomba, you know.

it's just my opinion/suggestion - I didn't give thumb down. And for your info: 1. I dance quite a lot, mainly salsa. 2. I seldom get even 2 t-shirts/shirts for a party 3. Dancing is physical activity, wanna activity AND exercise - try capoeira (I train that one too). 4. Kizomba when danced correctly and with permanent contact can make more sweat. You first try out what You say then try to judge if/what someone dances or not.

As someone who dances kizomba, believe me they do sweat. All that body heat being so close and dancing multiple songs builds up heat quick. And if you are a beginner it's even worse lol

After watching this at least 100-200 times.. it appears to me that they are dancing On2... However, the audio in this video has been replaced with the actual song itself which may not be in sync with the audio from the video... Just a thought.

If you see them dancing like that then it is ON TWO. Mambo is first about flow. If you dance mambo then you can recognize a mambo dancer without music. See the interview with Frankie Martinez from La Época Films.

TheManChise dont judge him too harshly. You should see some of his other dances. I guess the main problem he has when dancing w people that are not part of his dance studio is not knowing all of his routines. He is well know for being too flashy w his style. The only issue w that is that if u dont stick mainly to routines that are based on fundamentals it becomes really challenging to apply it with other people. This is clearly the case in this video, but he was really good at calibrating and giving space to the women when he felt things were not going entirely his way.

I Think i just a case of taste , i like it more when its more playful and having fun and not a Course salsa. I mean if a figure or move goes wrong then you just laugh at it and continue :) so i give thumbs up for both the dancers and Jimmy Sabater r.i.p
