Great charger that chages each battery independently this will ensure that old batteries are charged up 100% and will not overcharge the batteries al all. This will increase the life of the rechargable battery overall lifespan.
When the charger has fully charged the batteries, the charger will turn off. Have left batteries overnight has not coursed any damage to the charger or the batteries. There maybe a short power outage of drop that will reset the charger to reset and start charging again, the charger will quickly realize that the batteries are fully charged and turn off again. This may shorten the overall life of the batteries a little. Hope that this helps
Know that cheaper chargers will charge the AAA and AA batteries in pairs and will charge for 15 hours and will keep on charging even if the batteries are full until the 15 hours are up. My last one was like this and noticed the batteries can get very hot due to the charger. The Panasonic charger used in the clip chargers the batteries one by one and checks the batteries voltage and when the cells are charged it will turn the single battery off. Been using this charger for about two years and even in 30C heat the batteries will only become just notably warm never hot. Hope that this helped.
