So I've got a 2009 Subaru Impreza that came with the Panasonic Strada navigation system . the other day I had to remove the battery from the car and since putting it back in the radio would not work. This had happened on two occasions before and all I had done to get it going again was remove and replace the battery terminals while the key was on and it started to work again. I've tried that over and over now but it still won't work.
Has this happened to anyone with a radio of this kind before, and can anyone help me to get it working again?

How do you truned off the navigation keeps colliding with the DVD only gives me sound any idea what to do do I have to install the antenna for it to remove?

I have the same stereo on my 2011 outback, thing comes back to life on its own, I had tried disconnecting the terminals and what not but none worked. Found out my terminals were loose sowhen I went over a rutt or something the car disconnected. Try REMOVING CLEANING and TIGHTENING your TERMINALS. Worked for me

Hey Gavin had the same problem on my wife's Forester. My fix was to disconnect the GPS cable from the back of the radio. The radio is currently working fine.

Same problem here. Just received my Subaru Forester, 2009 2.0 Sport. The radio is so awful, and annoying... It keeps flashing with the Subaru Logo all the time. Any assistance will surely be appreciated.

I had the same problem on a 2010 subaru forester. My solution was to turn the start key to accessories position and leave it that way for about 45min. The stereo eventually reset and restarted and problem resolved. Thanks.

I had this twice, first time it took two weeks to fixs itself, second time was 4 months, it just came right by itself. It does look like an IC issue.

Subaru Dealer here in Japan told me it needed an update. They took it for a month to send to reprogram and will give it back. I’ll post if that’s the permanent fix.

IC chip is dead and need to be replace.If you can do that it will work again.

My friend ask his friend to come to fix it.he has a big SD card .he then open the drawer .there is a slot there.he put the card into the openings.he then fix it.and asked me to pay him RM200.i was not around.i left the car there.so l didn't know how he fix it.something like transfer the memory which is full to the SD card.so the player has space again.the player is ok to use now.

This condition is common in 7-8 years ago PANASONIC STRADA series products The battery once removed is a symptom of falling into non-reboot when you connect again. Cause is a failure of the IC chip, Panasonic has confirmed the bad As recalled, in Japan it has been repaired free of charge. I also received a free repair same symptoms occurs. I do not know whether the same service is received abroad. What about you consult if there is a Panasonic subsidiary in your country

We need it not off from 2 to 10 hours. I run through the 8 hours. Previously missing from 2 to 4 hours.

Mine was doing the same, after removing the battery this happened, after cleaning the terminals and removing the battery a couple if times it's finally working again, but i noticed the time it worked i had the Car keys on Accessories, and removed the Negative terminal for a couple of minutes and then reconnected, and now it's working just fine. Am not sure if it's a specific solution or i was just in luck but i hope it helps someone.

Grasp the left under corner with you left hand and the right under corner with your right hand then pull gently but firmly. Press the reset button and wait. Done it twice already.

You will see a small circular opening...press it with a ballpoint.
