I'm testing my new-to-me vintage Panasonic VP-8131A AM/FM Stereo Signal Generator. Here I'm feeding in a stereo music signal from my PC, modulating it with the Panasonic on (closed circuit) 99.7 FM, and receiving it on my ICOM IC-705 portable ham radio. This signal generator is too cool! I plan to use it for aligning vintage AM/FM stereo hifi tuners and receivers.
I will probably also use it to play my own music from vinyl records, tapes, CDs, etc. through my own vintage FM stereo hifi tuners, just to use them and show people that they work. (For serious listening, I will naturally play my signal sources directly to my hifi amplifier, not through FM radio...)
