You you need to de moisturise it, Place it under a 100 watt lightbulb for a day or so, and than check it again , the noise will be less. I use a 100 philips persglas buld together with a small ventilator to prevent over heating.
I love my AT 4033. It is 13 years old and is still my primary go-to mic. I like it best on female vocals but it also is great as drum OH, or to record an amp.
I HAVE ONE for sale wm777 no selector switch ON MINE & it's the vintage NATIONAL BRAND ONE IN CASE &has no cover for 9v battery on mic OTHER THAN that had it tested clear & a bell works great
