PANCAKE PANTRY Breakfast Review (64 Years In Business) Gatlinburg Tennessee 

Those meals are works of art. Hats off to the chef!

Many years ago a group of 7 of us ordered 7 different kinds of pancakes and each of us tried all of them. It was a great idea. This video brought back many wonderful memories of our group at the pancake pantry. Sad too because I’m the only one still around but I was the youngest of the group. Thanks again.

I agree with Bobbie on how busy it is. Every time I've been walking by it's a waiting line out the door. Would love to try them corn meal pancakes. Looked very delicious.

The Pancake Pantry has the best French toast you'll ever eat ! And, the Blue Ribbon burger is amazing !

My husband and I have been eating at the Pancake Pantry for over 40 years. The French toast is what we go for and the best you will ever eat!

Stayed right across from it in a motel & missed my chance to go. Darn it, I know it was good food. Can't wait for the next video!

Gentry pointed out y’all’s Elvis umbrella right away and talked about how cool that was. The crepes and sweet potato pancakes looked really delicious. The Pancake Pantry locations here in Nashville still ship in their flour from the Gatlinburg location to this day. We enjoyed y’all’s video.

Great review, as usual. There are two of these in Nashville, by the way. Last time I was at the one in Gatlinburg, I asked which one was the original. The server was ready with the answer. The Gatlinburg location was the first. I forget the relationship between the locations, but the ones in Nashville get their mix from Gatlinburg. Old-fashioned Americana at its finest. We love the mini waters they bring out. You don't see that much anymore. Also, all honor to the hard-working employees there and everywhere who get up so early.

I would’ve wanted maybe two pancakes 🥞 with a side of bacon 🥓 and eggs. I not much for the specialty one I would’ve just wanted plain buttermilk.

Both dishes looked so good. They probably put the ricotta cheese in John's to break up the sweetness. When you were scanning the menu, the Caribbean one caught my eye. I told my hubby there's another place I want to go visit lol. He also wants to take me to Graceland. He's been there before a long time ago and wants me to see it, he loved it. I love buckwheat pancakes. My grandma got me hooked on them. Her’s aren’t sour either. And my boyfriend makes corn cakes all the time. Yum!

I was in Gatlinburg for 5 days and there was always a long line to get in. On my last morning I decided to get there very early. Got in line at 6:50, got seated at 7 and by 7:20 the place was full. Crazy to see it so empty. Good food, great coffee and terrific service. I got the Pigs-in-a-Blanket. Wonderful video! I loved the talk with the "butter guy".

Ahhh...coffee, quiche with John and Bobbi for breakfast! No better way to start a Sunday. Looked really good. I'm not one for sweet breakfasts, prefer savory but both of those dishes looked great!

Great review. I tried for the first time when I stayed in Gatlinburg in Dec. It was a very cold walk down there early, but it was really good.

Absolutely love this place been coming here since I was a kid and now taking ours here and it never disappoints best in town for sure !

The restaurant is incredibly nice and all the food looked wonderful. For me I would have had to have a plate with two eggs over easy and maybe a piece of that delicious looking ham, two pancakes or one crepe with the strawberries would have been enough for me. I liked everything about the place. It was so nice to see local guys cooking in the back. I would go here nothing about the place annoyed me.❤🇺🇸 🙏🏻✌🏻

Thanks for the video! Those portions were so huge! They had a nice range of menu items and everything was beautifully presented. For a place called "Pancake Pantry", I was surprised at how high quality everything looked. Nice! I am surprised it was still dark out at 7 am. Maybe it was the rain. You weren't kidding about rain storm. It was coming down! Made for a pretty video though. hehe

Wife and I love this channel...your reviews are so concise and genuine....we reside just outside Gettysburg and know and hit similar stomping grounds as you guys, we're actually thinking of selling house in Pa. for beautiful Tennessee...quick question, are you guys retired to be doing so much travelling as y'all do or just wealthy empty nesters? And are either of you musicians as I notice alot of great classic rock tees....we're also of that great music generation 😂...lets rock n' roll!

gotta have that coffee but nooooo sugar, just creamer ...yea java goes w/ everything breakfast lol. the prices are very high wow...the pancakes and crepes look very good...I don't see how folks can eat a stack of panners, I can only eat 1 !! they had a big variety of items. The outside of the restaurant was gorgeous along with the water fountain and that stream running is something I could listen to all day...great review guys!!

We love the Pancake Pantry as well. Quick Service, excellent Staff, Great Food, and good prices. We also Love the Donut Friar as well. Please try a review of them as well. Free Refills of coffee all day long. Have you two tried Crocketts Breakfast that is right down the road. Would love to see a review of them. We also tried the Sun Diner as well.

Been going since the sixties. My parents went when the Pancake Pantry turned 50. They rolled prices back so their bill was less than $5.00. You can get regular pancakes as a meal with eggs and choice of meat. Even if there's a line to get in, it moves fast.

Been going to the Smokies since the early 1970s. Pancake Pantry is always a place we have to visit. I can tell you are staying at the Howard Johnsons. That was our family's place to stay when it was just Johsons Inn. Was your stay as nice as last time you were there? Was there last Spring.

WOW@ 64 yrs! Those are the original table and chairs!!! Wonderful decor! Chef there 48 yrs! That's why it's so phenominal!! John love the Valentine day crepe special. Crepes filled with milk chocolate with the strawberry compote, whipped cream. YUM both my favorite strawberry and chocolate! Bobbie: I would try the sweet potato pancakes! cinnamon cream syrup Yum!! Look at all the wonderful food!!!! Beautiful building!!!!

Pancakes are their specialty but just once try the French Toast, and you'll be hooked! Immediate "food-gasm"! Lol. Also , it may not sound great but the Orange-Walnut pancakes are fabulous. Our kids love the blueberry & chocolate chip pancakes. .

I’ll check out their menu..would love to see a keto option..I don’t eat regular flour or anything with wheat anymore. We were in the area end of October 2022, but didn’t even notice this place. Hopefully we can return to Gatlinburg again soon. We will definitely try a meal here. Thank y’all so much.

Breakfast at Pancake Pantry makes vacation complete. Everything is always great. Even the plain black coffee is the best, most unique coffee I've had anywhere.

Wow! That's my restaurant, for sure! I love pancakes and waffles. I want to try the peach crepes. I'm glad I live 1,000 miles away as I'd be there frequently. I'm in a wheelchair and my first thought seeing those restrooms was dismay as I'd never get access to them. Then you said disabled people can use the employee restroom. That's good, but if they have a restroom on the first floor, they could also put public restrooms there. The prices are very high. Over $3 for a cup of coffee!
