@@rutgers8360 One would think that but it's origins are Greek. 600 BC - The first recorded mention of pancakes dates back to ancient Greece and comes from a poet who described warm pancakes in one of his writings. The Ancient Greeks made pancakes called τηγανίτης (tēganitēs), ταγηνίτης (tagēnitēs)[3] or ταγηνίας (tagēnias),[4] all words deriving from τάγηνον (tagēnon), "frying pan".[5] The earliest attested references to tagenias are in the works of the 5th-century BC poets Cratinus[6] and Magnes.[7] Tagenites were made with wheat flour, olive oil, honey, and curdled milk, and were served for breakfast.[8][9][10] Another kind of pancake was σταιτίτης (staititēs), from σταίτινος (staitinos), "of flour or dough of spelt",[11] derived from σταῖς (stais), "flour of spelt".[12] Athenaeus mentions, in his Deipnosophistae, staititas topped with honey, sesame, and cheese.[13][14][15] The Middle English word pancake appears in English in the 15th century.[16][17] The Ancient Romans called their fried concoctions alia dulcia, Latin for "other sweets". These were much different from what are known as pancakes today.[18] I copy pasted from two sources. ALSO!!!! when you're married to a Greek, you know what is originally Greek because they tell you 🤣
@@narsis273 I posted some info above but just search for yourself. First recorded pancakes are from ancient Greeks and Romans too. The word pancake is probably american but the concept of a flat cake drizzled with honey is Greek in origin.
@@pattydonna8549 thanks for info but honey if you're looking into it's origin then croissant also isn't french it's austrian or you can't even say flat cakes in the pan are originally greek, the right way is to say Greece also had them because even other cultures had them too just with different names! We have our traditional pan cakes with both rice flour and wheat flour fried in pans. There are so many foods in different countries that are originally from somewhere else or the concept of their native food was taken from somewhere else. Like every type of noodles in east asia or even spaghetti are taken from chinese food. Homus originated in Egypt but it is known as some Lebanese dish or flat bread "Naan" is associated with india while actually both bread and the name are persian brought to india... In asia both western and eastern asian countries have so much similar food with different names that you can't tell where did they originated first or the belong originally so we agree on we all share these foods. We just know the type of pan cakes on her table are american style.
I love how she talks about her diet and she's actually healthy like I literally worry about some mukbangers how unhealthy their diet is some of them are even dying

Hey Eri! I have a idea, since your last two videos have you have cooked and your crogue monsieur & croque madame sandwiches & your pancakes have looked really good (and all the food u cook lol). Maybe when you do cook for your videos you just have a little short part in the beginning you show how you cook it? Ofc you don't have to do this if this is too hard or something else. This was just an idea :)
