I am beginning to understand at 47:40 , what he meant by 7 Akshara talas. I took some carnatic classes, but had difficulty understanding what my gurus would say (I started at 42 years ). They would just say 1,23,4 + 1,2 + 1,2 and show hand movements. Then in mridangam, all I hear is 10000 beats per second. This video is the best explanation and the Thimala sound is actually saying "Ta,ki,ta" + "ta,ka" + "Ta,ka". Mridangam or tabla is too fast for adult novices to understand. How I regret my silly decisions in childhood to not learn carnatic! If any kids are reading, please learn carnatic when you get the chance, later on you can participate in any music form of choice.!
