Wow! This has been a surprise video for me. I am a Barodian, i have been following comedy factory since quiet a while and really admire what you guys are doing. Keep it up Manan and team. Now I said its a surprise as i saw karan after ages, (our grandfathers were friends) he must have been in 2nd or 3rd grade when i saw him last and now to see him working on such a big thing, making his parents ( Punkaj sir and Neeta mam) proud, making baroda and India proud makes me not only happy but proud to share same school. Good luck Karan. Your clear thoughts and simple explanation speaks your in depth knowledge and your passion. Comedy factory “ u guys Rock” keep up the good work.

I never commented on any video on RU-vid but this one is really inspirational. I had my PhD from ISRO, Ahmedabad and working as postdoctoral scientist from PRL, Ahmedabad. Again it's an autonomous body from Department of Space. I really want to break a wall of Gujarati's mind about science and scientist.

Obviously, one of the best, informative and unconventional podcast (that can be seen through comments too if the video itself is not enough!). As an enthusiast and because an engineer, I went through the mentioned documentary and the Cosmos series, gathering a lot more knowledge; Then I did an attempt to revisit this video after two months just like any other songs, comedy, movies, stage talks or sketches; And although it's not of these kinds, still refreshing for its audience. My cursor wants to share again (if 'some electrons' escaped during the 'last collision'). My two minutes of thinking and a minute of writing this comment worth (for Dr. Karan Jani & for The Comedy Factory). Blackholes na athdavathi aa trees minit ma pruthvi par be var tarango avi gaya. I have one question, you said that the gravitational waves detected was generated 1.3 billions years ago, but "How do LIGO scientists know that the gravitational waves detected were generated 1.3 billion years ago ? " And How do we know where the gravitational waves detected by LIGO are coming from.?

I totally agree with Karan about the value of research in India, where there is neither a big amount invested in research in every budget nor given encouragement for it. Also, pseudo-research is a big thing in India nowadays. I had struggled a lot to do find a professional a laboratory to work as a PhD researchers, but I failed to find one and now I ended up here UK as a researcher.... KUDOS to Karan and many congratulations for his achievements, it sounds great but I know how hard it must have been to achieve that much....

To all students studying in high school : Marks are not that important, concentrate on you ideas and explore the world of knowledge outside of textbooks. Karan is an excellent example of this. I made mistake of pursuing marks and following herd. So, build your interest one the fly and come out of mirage of marks. Money will follow you when you do it, and you will feel money is not the only important thing to you when you have other interesting things to do! Thanks Comedy factory for such personality. Question to Karan : How did you discover your interest in Astrophysics & how you worked upon your decision. especially after doing 12th and receiving hate for choosing bsc. physics.
