Pancit is a Filipino style stirred fry noodles. It's one of the most requested dishes for get togethers and will always be present on any Filipino occasions. It is inexpensive and easy to make. It is a very versatile dish that you can make it vegetarian, use chicken, pork, shrimp or even overload as you wish (just like ours). Once all the ingredients are cut and prepared, it only takes about 30 minutes to complete the meal.
Ingredients:
300gm of rice noodles (Bihon)
400gm of egg noodles (Canton)
1 pc of large carrot (cut in julienne)
10-15 pcs of green string beans (cut in julienne)
½ of a big bell pepper (cut in julienne)
1-2 handful of cabbage (I used Taiwanese cabbage)
1 whole onion bulb
5-6 garlic cloves (minced)
200gm of pork liver (you can use chicken liver)
200gm of pork sirloin
200gm of chicken breast
150gm of shrimp
150gm of fish balls (optional)
3-4 Tbsp cooking oil
6 Tbsp soy sauce
5 Tbsp oyster sauce
6-7 cups of hot water
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tsp seasoning mix
1 tsp sugar
Hardboiled egg
Onion leaves
Toasted onion flakes for garnishing (optional)
