In this video created by a certified elementary teacher, we will review the vocabulary in the story including practicing with sounding out the words so that the kids will be able to read the book themselves. We will also review singular and plural forms of the words as well as sound words/ onomatopoeias. Then the book will be read aloud slowly for the students. Finally, the student has the opportunity to read the story own her/his own.
In "Pandas Eat," students will discover panda's favorite food, bamboo. In the book they will follow different pandas as they chow down on bamboo stems, leaves, and shoots. The book contains colorful photos and a glossary to help young learners pick up the new vocabulary. Repetitive sentence structures and the use of simple words make for easy independent reading by kids just starting out on their literary adventure. This book is also a useful tool as part of a unit on animal diets and ecosystems.
