"Pandemonium" from The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee Original Off-Broadway Cast **No copyright infringment intended. Will take video down under request.**
When I went to see it, an audience member got a ridiculous word that was obviously to get her out of the bee, but she guessed and got it right! It was hilarious! XD
Our family saw the musical twice on Broadway and once on tour. They pick three people from the audience...chosen before the show. Absolutely hilarious. We have had the soundtrack in our car since we saw it the first time. Loved it.
My mom is in this right now(just a community theater). She plays Rona. Gosh, her Pandemonium is awesome! You've got Olive on top of Leaf's shoulders and dunking a basketball, two people on ropes, Barfee dancing on top of Rona and Panch's desk and Chip flying running around the audience. I got to dance with them because I was a volunteer one night.
i did this play. i was the comfort counselor. i tear up just watching this play. i had what one could potentially call the smallest part (depends on who you're talking to). But i loved every minute of it, especially my solo. it was fun.
I just saw this @ La Mirada. Really funny and what a great experience to be one of the audience spellers. They gave me COW and some crazy word. Crizzlemum?!
i live in the town where this play was originally written and workshopped and it came back this april. i went to go see it and it was soooo good. definitely one of my favorite musicals
I'm glad you liked it! But in all honesty it wasn't at all our best show. I hope you did come to tonight's (Saturday's) performance because it was MUCH better! Thanks for coming, though! ^_^
I'm curious to know, if you saw a non-OBC cast, did they have an epilogue of sorts at the end where the characters say what happens to them? If so, I want to see if they said the same stuff as the OBC(or if it was improv). All I remember was: Barfee didn't get far at the next bee, Chip learned to embrace his erection and find others who appreciated it (then he looked at Marcy), Marcy became an unsuccessful author, Panch fell in love with Ms. Peretti, and she got a restraining order against him.
@BroadwayBaby98 Audience members. Before the show if you want to be a "speller" you put your name on the list and if you get chosen you go backstage where they ask you to ask for a definition and use in a sentence if you are called to the mic. Then as the show progresses they get eliminated.
This is a show where each character is basically a lead. Chip isn't the Leading Man, but he has a solo, and has to sing a lot of high notes. It's a good part though.
wait. I may sound really stupid :P and I know alot about broadway... but the dude who is number 4 in the begining did they just pull the guy from his seat? I just never seen the show I'm just wondering lol
I saw this on broadway and at the end of the song the cast came out in the audience and gave people cards with weird words with the definition and a sentence. Then Logan threw her stack at me.
I'm going to be Logainne in this with my highschool in canada. We're making it canadian. Its so funny, our Leaf is a girl because it fit WAY more. Its gonna be random.
