When people give me grief for going back to WDW this year, since I was just there in January, I will be giving them the link to this video as my explanation. You guys have gotten me so much more excited.

This is why I'm going to Disney for the first time! I am glad that I'm waiting to go next spring, hopefully the crowds won't be as insane come in early March.

Why do people think you need to like the property for the land/ride to be good? I don't like Song of the South, Twilight Zone, etc but those rides are still fucking great

I went yesterday and I agree 100 percent. There's no photos and videos that can capture the beauty of this land. It is literally like stepping into a work of art. It's absolutely stunning. I was definitely on sensory overload walking through it. There's no way in my short preview that I was able to appreciate everything in it.

My only complaint (which is very minor) was that my glasses on Flight of Passage were too large for my face and kept falling off. Even though I had issues with my glasses, (and am prone to motion sickness) the ride was so smooth and utterly amazing.

GREAT episode! lots of in depth info and honest opinions! I was in the skepycal camp (as the movie doesnt impress me either), but I am actually excited to see this now someday. I am curious, do you think the banshee (sp?) ride would potentially be interesting for people who are blind, since it is physically immersive? I ask because I myself am visually impaired and do alot fo advocating for blind and visually impaired people. I would love your insight and opinions on that! TIA!

I'm heading to disney at the beginning of June and I have fastpasses for flight of passage, however, I'm thinking of heading over there for an extra ride on one of the extra magic hour nights. Any guesses on how long the waits will be for that EMH 11pm-1am? I'm excited for this new land!

Nothing will ever pass Haunted Mansion for me, but Flight of Passage has jumped every other ride for me. It took what Soarin already did incredibly and perfected it.

I went in June not too long after it opened and all I have to say is WOW. I personally love Avatar and seeing what Disney did is incredible. I had goosebumps from the moment I walked into the area. The guys said it perfectly, you don't feel like you're in Animal Kingdom anymore when you walk in. For a while I honestly didn't have nearly as much of a desire to go to Animal Kingdom compared to the other parks (mostly Epcot and MK for the time being) and now it is a park that I could willingly spend a whole day at.

What are the wait times likely to be in Pandora around May 30th??

Very very long wait times. The only good thing is that the Flight of Passage queue is very detailed and an attraction itself so it will make waiting not as bad.

I said the same thing about that floating avatar, "creepy". Just like Craig, I wasn't impressed by the Avatar movie. I do recall liking the special effects. I don't remember the movie though as it simply was not memorable as well as too many years ago. Hearing how impressed Craig is now with Pandora is encouraging. I would not have eaten that horrid looking jiggly blue blueberry cheesecake dessert. The texture is just wrong and the color is worse.

Yes. It is for those people out there that maybe don't know or care about the show, but they want to know about Pandora. Sometimes it is nice to just give the people what they want instead of making them work for it :)

im in disneyworld first half of may but when this opens my kids and i are in universal for volcano bay opening. do you think its worth spending the extra $119 each for all of us to come back and visit animal kingdom for an afternoon and evening of pandora? it looks AMAZING but is it worth a few hundred dollars to come back to disneyworld? please help!! im in a dilemma lol ....so exciting

I had every confidence that this land would exceed expectations. I loved the movie. I love Disney. If anyone could bring Pandora to life it's Disney. I'm so excited for when I finally get to see it.

Pandora the movie was never designed to be 3D. It was converted to 3D as a last minute change. There are even scenes that aren't 3D because the conversion was too hard. The ride looks amazing though and I can't wait to ride it.

This may get some Disney fans engaged, but I don't think it gets International or Casual Fans engaged to increase attendance. It's going to take Star Wars Land to turn Disney World Attendance, not profit around.

I have been proven wrong before. Multiple sources including Len Testa/Jim Hill Disney Dish Podcast last week's episode are saying that this isn't driving traffic to the resort like they hoped. They have up to 30% off Hotel Discounts right now. They are struggling in the attendance side right now. It's off Site hotels who are hit the worst when Disney attendance is down.
