I love baking bread! A lot of it is in the ‘feel’, you get to tell from the feel of the dough what it needs. All of these came out really good 😋 One additional tip I found in a recipe for 21 hour rising pizza dough: When using dried yeast, to ensure you know it’s going to rise do the following: Weigh the yeast, put in a bowl, add the required water, mix and leave 5 minutes. Check after 5 minutes >if the mix is bubbling then use. >If not bubbling throw away and start again with new yeast and water. Just ‘guarantees’ that the dough will rise 😎
I've just started making homemade bread, and focaccia is something I'm interested in tackling next! I was thinking I might incorporate some rosemary. I'm excited! Great video!
Rosemary+focaccia=PERFECT FIT 😍 That's a great idea, I'm sure it would come out so yummy -not to mention your house would smell so good!! Let me know if you give it a go 🎈 And thanks a lot for leaving a comment!
Wow ! This recipe is so detailed. I hope it turns out the same when I try it. Do you have an Instagram account? I'd like to follow you for more recipes like this ❤
Happy to hear you found that helpful!! Did you end up trying any of the recipes? 😙 I don't have an IG account yet, but I'm planning on opening one in the near future -I'll definitely let you know when that happens then 🎉
HAHAH I honestly don't recommend trying that method -from personal experience, I can tell you it NEVER works LOL 🤣 How was the egg though? Loved a good chocolate/sugar rush?? 🐣
I make bread every week, and every time is an experiment. The ambient temperature might be different, the water temperature slightly different and, if you use different flours, you'll have to adjust the liquid amount, too. It all comes down to experience and the feel of the dough. If it feels right, you should end up with something satisfactory, and definitely edible. If you manage that, you're winning 😂
You're so right!! I made both the focaccia and the easy bread recipes at least three more times, and I totally get what you say - the more experience you have, the more you're able to "read" the dough.. but still, every time is unique 😃 In the end, it's only your gut and your hands that understand what the dough actually needs 🙈🍞
I do, but I feel like I'm performing under pressure when it comes to bread and such... the old "eh non avevo l'alchermes, ho usato il caffè" version of myself suddenly starts hunting me 😱🤪🦑
I don't think I know that many in English 🙈 We have tons of bread-related sayings in Italian.. for instance, NON È PANE PER I TUOI DENTI (literally "this is not bread for your teeth" -I don't think this is your thing/your forte/your strong suit) SEI BUONO COME IL PANE (literally "you're as good as bread" -you're such a sweetheart!).. however, not all of them are actually funny though 🤣
