Fern, nadali mo emotions ko, pure blooded kapangpangan ako. Tiga San Fernando Pampanga ang mga roots ko Pedro Sison ang lolo ko, Anselma Quiambao ng Cavite ang asawa niya na lola ko. Sa father side ko yan, ang mother ko ay David, Castro na tiga Malolos, Bulacan, tuwang tuwa ako ng sinabi ni ma'am Lillian na bisaya ang asawa niya dahil narito ako sa Cebu since 1951 kaya "bisdak" na rin ako. Hello Fern! Thank you for featuring Hizon Lorenzana. I truly learned from the past history of pampanga. This biscuits san nicolas i remember my mother who usually brings them home but bought them in one bakery in Angeles City. Actually Fern Pampangenos are different from us Tarlaquenos. They are really great cooks but not us. Like me im not but my sister is. It all depends maybe. Thanks again for featuring Mrs Borromeo. She can be not only a great cook but also historian. Pan de San Nicholas was only serve during the feast of San Nicholas and during the Christmas Holidays during the Spanish Collonial times it 's a surprise to know this type of bread is still being made and keeping the tradition alive in Pangpangga

On this FATHER’S DAY, I chanced to watch your Vlog Sir Fern and I thanks him for all the historical values you have shared. Only now at my old age at 75 I have appreciated so much that there are people who have much regard, concern and care especially the love of heritage, the things of the past anywhere we go. Hopefully in all places this kind of mindset must be enhanced throughly with the joint effort of the leaders of every town, city or province in our country and develop the sense of enriching all historical values that is burning in us of our journey through the years. For the National Historical Commission and related agencies like the Dept. of Tourism, LGU keeping abreast in the up keep marking another marching order for another milestone now and for our next generations. Nakakatuwa to see and hear history from our elders. I’m from Mabalacat Pampanga and there is a house on SnFrancisco Highway that we call White House sir. It’s owned by the Romualdez (speaker of the house of rep) I’m sure that’s an interesting house to feature.

Mga kilala at prominenteng pamilya po ang mga Borromeo sa Cebu. Ang ganda ng kasaysayan ng pamilya Hizon.

Iba talaga ang sarap ng San Nicolas biscuits na gawa ni Mam Lilian. Mam Lilian is from Sasmuan ( a granddaughter of our hero Don Monico R. Mercado -a well known poet and the 1st Congressman (Diputado) in Pampanga.

I hope the gov.'t will help them restore their ancestral house. Mukhang maganda ang mga gamit nila. I would love to have a banggera, my lola's banga is still in the Philippines but even if I would like to have it, masyadong mahal ipa-ship dito sa states. Maybe next time when they open for public ay maipakita mo sila ulit, of course tikman mo na rin yung mga lumang pagkain nila na hindi na common ngayon. Thanks for sharing Fern.

Don't get me wrong but the way they named those shortbread cookies as "Panecillos" is a misnomer. Panecillos are rolls or dinner rolls. Yung tinatawag natin na monay. "Grande" means "large" or big in english kaya kapag bakasyon grande ay mahabang bakasyon.
