Gottfried tries to "imply" negativity (regarding XRP, and digital assets as well as the blockchain). But all he ends up doing is making himself (and SWIFT) seem ignorant to this great technology. He is absolutely fighting a losing battle. Brad is a class act.

Swift GPI - It's the same thing as old Swift (unidirectional messaging), but it is faster. There is no transfer of value. GPI also requires pre-funding. Its Ripple equivalent is xCurrent, which is must faster than GPI. In order to transfer value you need a token. Hence, xRapid handling everything related to the ledger (the messaging) as well as the transfer of value. Maybe more importantly...fully settled. No later batching.

If i has to choose as customer, i would choose for the company ripple. A technology thats ready for the the future instead of a old system that did get a update.

Brad's charisma is what will help him win this, as well as being backed by a superior system. Gottfried has that nerd look and manner about him and no where near Brads confidence in his product and what he is saying. I hope Gottfried is interested in the job with Ripple as taking over Swifts business would be a much simpler process is he shifted across, even if it was just setting up a partnership during his last 9 months.
Brad got a little short changed on time to explain why the Decentralization of Block Chain and XRP , the systems together, are so much better than the closed, one way api system that Swift is trying to implement 🤔
4:00 - the thing about the beginning of the internet is that it wasn't run by a company. Ripple isn't like email or HTTP, it's more like Facebook or Skype.
World scale is not simple. It had to be this way, about a decade for an international standard to be implemented and it starts with LINK which powers gpi and the rollout of iso20022 going on right now.. most likely they will both become standards as cross border regulation is apparently what Brad has put a lot of time into and its their specialty. In such a huge network of organizations there will never be a single party controlling things which is good

Basically Ripple payment adoption will come into play when crypto regulation is there cause currently the government can't allow those type of payments cause us not paying tax on things is a no no, and by the looks of things, swift and ripple do not need each other hence they are competing and bitcoin will never be used for payments cause it was just the opening guy for smarter technologies

A trustless, decentralized, with realtime liquidity is XRP. Swift does not have any of the above. I laugh as i wait over seven days for an XRP purchase. @@simonhhh100 what are the facts? Today Ripple announced first bank to successfully run xRapid (not jp, barklleys or santander but exim bunk). Swift gpi is allready used by 450 banks.
