With our collective aim to improve the world, there should be no downside to open-sourcing all information in the social sector. In order to do as much good as possible, every changemaker should be sharing their tools, insights, learnings and assistance in service of the greater good. So why do so many philanthropists still work in silos? And how can we create the infrastructure and culture for philanthropists, NGOs, governments, researchers, activists, and civil society to learn from each other and collaborate to scale the best ideas?
We brought together three social sector experts to discuss the future of collaborative working: Alix Zwane (CEO of the Global Innovation Fund), Silvia Bastante (Chief Philanthropy Officer of Co-Impact) and Deval Sanghavi (Co-Founder of Dasra).
They test some common attitudes and hypotheses amongst donors, asking how philanthropists can create the right incentives for charities to be collaborative, experimental and impactful.
