The song “Panenka” refers to a football techniques. (By the way, that's soccer to anyone in North America.) “Panenka” is when, during a penalty kick, the shooter floats the ball into the centre of the goal, deceiving any goalkeeper that has committed to a dive into the left or right corner of the net. The technique was introduced by Czech football player Antonín Panenka in 1976. “Panenka” the recording is a concise earworm based around a tangle of horn samples and repeating drum patterns.
