Panic at the Disco are interviewed by IGN in Detroit on the Nintendo Fusion tour the day after their first CD was released (Sept. 27, 2005). Not-to-be-missed moment: Brendon's face when he's trying to remember their next stop.
Ryan's face when the interviewer starts asking about their parents actually has me wanting to punch a wall. Like, I don't care how old this is, I'm so unbelievably upset about it. I just can't think about it, dude. I know it wasn't even her fault, but even so. Nobody deserves to be in that position, ever. Man.
His mom basically abandoned him as a kid, leaving him with dad who was an alcoholic, and possibly abusive. At the very least, neither of them were the least bit supportive of him or his music career.
Stop the hate. I mean, if he wasn't a good band member, well, he's gone. He's just a human, okay. Imagine how embarrassing it must be for him to be kicked out of a band and everyone's happy about it. Let the man be, he was just trying to have fun playing music, just like every other band member. Apparently, he was pretty uncomfortable in the band because he liked to spend plenty of time with his family and he didn't have a lot of time for himself. If so, it was better for everyone to have him be gone. I didn't like how he acted in Panic! too, but I hope he's got a good place in this world and doesn't work against the system. Must be pretty hard to know that there's still people out there laughing at him for being himself.
Of course I have, and I actually laughed at your joke. My shit was not too far from a joke as well. But I've seen some major cursing on other videos and I thought, let's throw a comment for this time. Oh, and congrats on you for being able to keep your acc for such a long time.
ryan: ryan... ryan me: You are my match made in heaven. There is never a second where you aren’t there to lift me up when I need you to. I am so incredibly fortunate to have crossed paths with you in the beginning. It has brought us to this beautiful point in our lives. A point where I find that I cannot wait to build with you, grow with you and face the future with you. You are everything I could ever want in a man. I will never want anything or anyone else. That I can promise.
oh my god, Brendon is so shy and adorable and totally unpracticed at interviews, it's goooold. Also, remember that this is only a little while after their album came out; people probably didn't really know their backstories at this point, they were still just an untested opening band, not a headliner getting a lot of press. So it's not surprising she wouldn't know about Ryan's jacked up home life.
If it makes any difference, I'm pretty sure that Ryan's dad was still alive when this interview was conducted. They were not getting along, however, so the question was still uncomfortable, I'm sure.
I actually didn't think she seemed that bad..Since this is back in 2005, I don't think she knew about his dad yet. But of course, Spencer tried to come to the rescue =]
Aaaw Spencer was so cute in this! Looove him! Brent wouldn't stop talking and I was like "Shut. The. Fuck. Up. Wilson." She kept asking Ryan if his parents said anything. She must have not known. He's so adorable with his hair and his paperboy hat.
When you realize you were 3 and a half months old when fever came out. The struggles of being born in the mid 2000's not being able to experience bands before they split.
@ChemicalAtTheDisco There is an infamous interview she did with Fall Out Boy where Pete told her his name was Jason, and she bought it without question.
@@naulsthing he has “severe” adhd and hyperactivity and in an attempt to control it, he took prescribed medication to calm his hyperactivity down. But the medicine worked a little too well so he has hardly any emotion or ability to express himself.
LMAO! Brent is such a troll! "I'm kind of an Xbox guy. I only play Halo, like, religiously." He said this on a NINTENDO Fusion tour. You see Brendon laugh as he says this
