Panic! At The Disco T4: Popworld k. guys. calm down. take into consideration the fact that it is POPWORLD. it's not a big deal whether they were rude or not!
I came immediately after reading brendon's interview with paper magazine and he said if there's an interview he feels bad about then it's this one because he was acting horribly. But he couldn't control it because he was taking medicines of ADHD and anxiety. He said that this interview will haunt him forever and wanted to say sorry for alexa chung. Also I'd like to note that Pray For The Wicked is number 1 in a lot of places so look how much you've come beebo. I'm so proud of you.
I think it's safe to say both panic and alexa were a bit distant and moody, but 'sarcasm that's so sarcastic you don't know whether they're joking or not' is the humor of t4 and the guys, so I guess we'll never know what was going on haha! >.
Alexa Chung and 2006 american pop rock emo band...not a match made in heaven. so painful to watch. I didn't realize how bad it was when I was 14 but looking back now, so bad.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHA, that was FUCKING hilarious!! "It was Daphne & Celeste, I had to stop them." AHAHAHHAHAHA. God, why does no one understand the humor? It was pure gold, I actually respect her now that I know she has a sense of humor. Shit, I would have thrown piss at them too, they should know that.
it wasn't panics fault, she was kinda rude. i'm british, and most british people do not act like that or have that kinda sense of humorat all. anyway it wasn't that bad.
I feel like something people weren’t taking into account is the fact that Brendon was on pills for his anxiety at the time which made him feel distant, uncomfortable and not himself. People who are calling HIM rude clearly don’t understand the context of the situation
Wheter he was on meds or not isn't the issue. He *was* rude. It's the mindless drones who flock to his defense searching for every little excuse to prove that he hasn't done anything wrong that's wrong. Though he was on meds, that doesn't excuse his horrid behavior.
@@ayoubaswaray1856 I understand what you're saying, but he was clearly not himself. He was taking anti-anxiety pills, anti-depressants, and Adderall at the time. He says that he doesn't even remember this interview. The drugs clouded his memory so much that he couldn't even store memories, nevermind remember to keep his behavior in check. He now understands that he did wrong, though. I wish people would stop digging up bad things he did in the past to try to victimize the Brendon who has grown and learned from his mistakes.
@@coricw4128 I'm not trying to victimize him. I fucking love his music, but I can detach myself from the perspective of a fan and make a sound descion. Though he was on meds, he was quite rude and she reciprocated with some sass. The people in the comments were draggin her when she was only giving back the same energy. He's obviously mature to the man we love today, but that doesn't mean I can't hold him accountable for his actions.
Alexa was a terrible interviewer to begin with. The least you can do is laugh a little and start good conversation when the other person tries to add a little personality to their answer instead of sulking and silently demanding that they answer it how you want, she was acting like they were serious questions and most of them just seem light and fun
I don't really see why everyone dislikes Alexa Chung for this. I think it's hilarious that she puts a stand to the typical interviewer, who seems to magically adore every single person they ever greet. I think the "I'm indifferent" comment pretty much sums it up.
Guys... they weren’t being too rude until after she mentioned that she’d bottled someone, something that happened to Brendon, knocked him out during a show and gave him a black eye, and could’ve killed him if it had hit any bit differently so yes, they’d be upset.
hahah nice one Alexa - if a band can't take an interview like that with a bit of humour then they aren't worth talking to. I *especially* loved it when she corrected their grammar:D
I love these guys and the only reason why they were acting so bored and annoyed is because the questions she was asking and her attitude were definitely worthy of pissing someone off. They don't like to be asked dirty or personal questions, which is totally understandable. And almost all of them were like that. Plus her sarcasm and rudeness were a bit annoying and her joking about the bottle thing is just wrong. I'm sure that Brendon didn't enjoy getting hit with that bottle. Alexa was being a bit of a bitch here. And these guys are the type of people where if an interviewer isn't acting right towards them, they turn on the sass. I commend them for it.
She's not treating them like idiots, she's basically finding out whether they have a sense of humour and whether they take themselves too seriously or not (the trait of many american pop-'rock' bands). Thats what she does in all her interviews- usually the interviewees join in with the banter and viewers respect them for it. Panic at the disco fail miserably.
Can I please just say this was the period Brendon was taking meds for adhd, anxiety, and depression. He needed something the numb him so he could get through interviews and concerts and meet and greets. Brendon is not on meds anymore and he regrets this video.
Oh God, If Americans think she was rude, they clearly havn't seen any of Simon and Miquita's interviews. The point of "The Big Ones" is to ask dry and random questions, which she did, all the apparent "rudeness" as clearly in good humour.
bahaha. i love jon's little smile when he says 'wee.' she means piss, right? because i'm pretty freaking american. and i love brendon's eyebrows when he says "already do." high five.
LOLNO. GERARD WAY IS THE SASS MASTER. He's actually a really friendly, nice person. this is probably one of the only times I have ever really seen him pissed. She wasn't being very nice to them.
I don't think they quite understood the fact of Popworld - like when she repeated the first question they probably thought she thought they were stupid.
I love how all the Panic fans are going mental at how rude the interviewer was, even though she was clearly being sarcastic. :'D Listen to iainc1977, being sarcastic and rude to the bands is part of the programme; it's what makes Popworld hilarious.
well said! *claps* that's what i liked about popworld, it wasn't rude but asked all the fun and interesting questions. the fall out boy one's funny, they go along with it and it all works out great, and that's the key.
kay everyone needs to chill alexa wasnt being rude or mean and brendon wasnt either he looked mad but hey he was getting pissed off and she was just doing her job thats the show so chill every1!
hey, just a little explanation. When she says i'm indifferent, she's saying "I don't have an opinion" basically to get them to talk (that doesn't work) and he says we're irrelevant meaning "our opinions on our own songs don't matter" hope that helps :)
This is a whole lot better than the usual TV Interviews, especially american ones, where its always about patting the singers on the back and telling them how wonderful they are. Popworld is about having a laugh with the questions asked and PATD clearly could not get that.
I definitely agree. She seemed a bit rude to them from the start, I know they looked bored, but she could have been a bit brighter. Both of them could have. I could feel the awkwardness in the air.
Oh it does, just not to the ones without a sense of humor. I've been watching a bunch of these British interviews lately because they're so much more entertaining than US ones.
No, I guess since they wrote so many songs, when Pete Wenz sighned them. The recording studio people thought that I write Sins Not Tragedies, was gonna be a "Great-Seller".And it was. But It's okay if they don't like there own song. I mean it's there opinion.
