hockeydog38 They generally play it one key down so Brendon doesn’t blow out his voice. It’s understandable considering how vocally demanding all his songs are, and also you have to take into consideration that he was struggling with some major acid reflux during this era. He hired a vocal coach shortly after and that accounted for a lot of the major improvement in his general tone and technique
@@Chlo255 I´m not sure about anything you said, as you did not cite sources. However, it is correct that they play it in a lower key for Brendon to feel more comfortable singing the song. They still do the song a full key down live right now, as of 2018, because Brendon can not sing it comfortably in its original key. It´s nothing wrong with that, it´s just annoying how his fans always come to aid with excuses when he does a sub-par performance, the man is not a god. He is great, but he is still human.
hockeydog38 that’s what I said...that its one key down so Brendon doesn’t blow out his voice. I don’t really think that’s calling him a god or making excuses, if anything it’s acknowledging his flaws...
@@Chlo255 But you keep making excuses and keep denying his flaws? You wrote that he was struggling with major acid reflux during this era (excuse) but later hired a vocal coach and improved upon his singing. Seeing live performances of "Nicotine" and "Golden days" (Golden days was also played in a lower key live) does not really say that the aforementioned "vocal coach" achieved much, as there is always straining, cracking and tearing in his voice during those songs, and others. Stop denying his flaws lol.
I feel so sorry for him that he lost his voice during the song (it's an awful feeling) but I actually love how he sang the end of it - he saved it really well! X
This man lost his voice and still sounded sooo damn good.... like starting at 3:15 I loved it so much more then all other performances of this song omlll. I get why they perform this in a lower key live
i like brendon he is talented for me cause he knows when his about to fail in some part but he manage to improvised it by doing what is the best tune on it he is brave to do improvision even though some might not like what he have done but still panic at the disco rocks! hahaha im still a fan way back in my grade 5 to 4th year high school hahaha :D
one thing i love about brendon's voice is that his voice sounds pretty much the same as it does on the CD meaning his voice doesnt sound crappy and totally different than the CD when you hear it live
Nah the scream didn't kill his voice, I saw them on Wednesday in Houston and he screamed ALOT but he sang the whole set flawless. It was almost a two hour set...
He didn't mean to scream, it's because his voice was going and so instead of going off key he rolled with it and let it come out. He did really well to ad lib the ending, sounded very pro. Gotta love his voice.
Dammit, I remember i had color guard practice that day. I was so pissed off, my mom practically had to drag me out of the house, to car, and to the band room. During practice, I was not a very happy camper. My coach told me to "wipe that scowl off my face" I apparently rolled my eyes so i ended up doing drop spins with my sabre in the corner so to keep my spirits up I sang practically all the songs from "A Fever You Can't Sweat Out". I'm still mad.
@TheKhaiXiang Yeah I think he did, they play the song in the original key here...I think after this performance they started playing it in G instead of A. I don't blame them, the vocals are skyhigh in the original Key. Almost Offspring skyhigh ;) Nevertheless awesome performance !
lol fuck. if you're going to stand front row, look enthused. even if you have to fake it. when i saw a rocket to the moon when they opened on the OP Tour in '09 i didn't like them but i jumped around and looked happy.
