Oh my gosh, yup, this is me to a tee. Comes all of a sudden, and I get scared, light headed, feel like I'm going crazy. The fear is awful. This happens about once a month but in general I have general anxiety disorder and on medication. For the most part it is under control and I do get anxious in crowds, in traffic, sometimes when I am excercising and I work out too hard and my heart is beating fast. I can't say it controls my life because it isn't but I need to calm myself when this happens. Sometimes I take Xanax which I know is not good and addictive, but Ive been on it for so long that even my PsychNP says I will likely be on it for life. I also take Lamictal, and Quietiapine before bedtime which helps me sleep. Brain works overtime, I overthink, it is crazy. My dad had the same issues for years. Sometimes I pace a little and do breathing excercises and they help a little. I don't remember having alot of this in my 20s or early 30s, seems to have increased with age. I hope to get better without taking a bunch of meds. I also take Magnesium. Any other advice from anyone? Thank you
Thanks for the video. Can you do a video on OCD? Specifically, pure-o. Since the pandemic started I've had countless intrusive thoughts about my loved ones, my sexuality and even weird things like consciously breathing.
I was diagnosed with Panic Disorder, but don't have actual panic attacks. I do get tight chested, sweaty palms, depersonalization, intrusive thoughts, irritability, etc..
