Panigale V2 gets Austin Racing Titanium Exhaust

@@ridewithKY I wouldn’t know about this exhaust if it wasn’t for your video. Did you have to re-map the engine after the install? Also, is the exhaust you chose mostly for looks and sound or does it also provide an increase in performance? Thanks

I flashed it with a BrenTune. I purchased it mostly for the sound and the weight savings. I’m sure it does free up some power also but since I did the exhaust and tune at the same time it’s hard to put a number to how much power I gained. It definitely is faster now though. However, again I would probably contribute that more to the tune than anything else. Thanks for watching!

That number sounds right to me as well. Akra is a nice system, but I think this one sounds better and is of course lighter. Aesthetics wise the Akra’s are tough to beat though.

I only have about 100 miles on the exhaust/tune set up so far. But at this point, it’s been great. Seems to run strong at all RPM’s. I can definitely feel the power coming on a lot stronger in the mid range.

@@ridewithKYhow did you order the exhaust? Straight from their website with euro prices or did you go through a Austin racing certified dealer?

This was straight from Austin Racing. Be prepared for a long wait unfortunately.

Wow, little longer than my wait time. I think I ordered mid October and just got it a few weeks ago.

Of course I can’t confirm that 100% but I have little doubt it would work just fine on a SF V2.

You don’t necessarily need to have it flashed, but it’s recommended. I had mine flashed by BrenTune.

If it makes any difference to you I’ve seen the MIVV make really good power numbers. With the baffle the MIVV is also not that loud. I actually almost bought the MiVV but they discontinued the titanium version right when I ordered it. I’ve heard people have been happy with their Vandemon but I don’t personally like the look of those exhausts on our bikes. They are copies of the Akra’s and in person you can obviously tell they are not Akra’s. I really appreciate you watching and for the positive remarks. Thank you!

I agree with you. It took me almost a year to decide on this one, but I’m completely satisfied with it. This sounds way better than the other exhausts I’ve heard for these bikes. Cheers.

I like the spy mirrors still. It’s good for what I use them for which is basically to just check behind me when I’m stopped. For changing lanes I turn around to look. The problem with the rizoma stealth’s is not really the size it’s where they are positioned. They are so far inboard, at least for me I don’t see how those are at all useful.

16 weeks was just my experience. I hope your lead time is much shorter and it’s possible that it will be. I’ve only had mine installed for a short time, but I still believe I made the right purchase. I’m glad I waited and didn’t rush into something else.

@@ridewithKY what do you think your hp and torque numbers are now?

I have a BrenTune on mine. Bren claims 147 to the wheels with a tune and exhaust with pump gas. Historically it seems as if Brentune’s numbers are pretty accurate. Of course you’ll get variance depending on the dyno and dyno conditions. I can tell you it runs a lot smoother with the tune and is definitely faster at all RPM’s. There’s a pretty good thread on the Panigale forums which show the MIVV slip on actually makes really good power, almost as much as a full exhaust on these bikes. But the problem with the MIVV is they’ve stopped making it in titanium. Only stainless available and I don’t think the MIVV sounds as good as the Austin IMO.

Seems as though most people have better results with Bren, but I’m sure either one will serve you well. I’ve been happy with my Bren tune.

Hey man, sorry about that I’m actually in Northern California. Yeah for some reason it’s uncommon to see this exhaust on V2’s. Everybody has Akra’s or Arrows.

Awesome man. You won’t be disappointed. It’s loud but it sounds a lot better than the Akra’s and especially the Arrow’s. These V2’s really only sound good with a limited number of exhausts. Cheers man, enjoy that exhaust.

@ridewithKY got my exhaust on Monday and installed it crazy loud your video didn’t do it justice. Went to Ducati bike night and everyone loved it! Super happy with it now I just gotta try and be quiet when I’m downtown and around cops😂

😂😂😂. It’s definitely a loud exhaust but you kind of get used to it after a while. The stock exhaust on V2’s is pretty quiet even when winding out the motor. Glad you are enjoying your new exhaust and I could be of help!

It’s a BrenTune. You would get it directly from Bren. I believe Moto million also stocks these flash devices as well, however, I bought mine direct.

This one came direct from Austin racing. I don’t believe they have any wholesalers in the US.

I have not had any issues with the brentune. It does void the warranty.

Strange. I bought mine directly from Austin Racing.

Then you’d have a tough time modifying one of these. Even some of the OEM replacement parts have 16 week waits. Most of the desirable aftermarket parts definitely have a 16 week wait. Just the way it is.

@@ridewithKY negative. I just built a brand new Panigale V2 race bike from scratch. It took me six weeks to do the whole thing. Spark Italy or Vamdemon both didn’t have long waits. And Termi fill system is available at Hsbk in stock now.

What happened with your order?

​@ridewithKY they didn't weld the bracket that's sits about the exhaust opening. They sent another exhaust end but I'm not cutting or welding anything.

No way! 😡. Man that sucks! I agree, I wouldn’t want to cut or weld anything either on an exhaust you spent that much money on. Please let me know what resolution they offer. Take care and thanks for sharing.

​@ridewithKY they fixed the issue. They sent a new exhaust tip with the bracket! Crises avoided lol. Now I just need to find the time to install this thing
