I have it myself and the sound quality is much better than my previous Oppo 205 because of the OCXO clock inside It plays everything including SACD and DVD-A which I still have a lot
I like your Nostromo shirt- I got the ballcap. Im sure your looking forward to Alien Romulus. Thx for the video as I was curious about these players. I have an Oppo 203, but always looking out there for the next best thing.
Hi, Thank you very much for that very interesting video ! Do you think it would be possible to get an in-depth and detailed test of the video part performance ? I currently have an Oppo UDP-203 Audiocom Signature Edition, which I want to replace with an even more efficient player, mainly on the video part (because I don't have a sufficiently high-end audio installation, for the music part to be my priority). On the other hand, my entire video chain is calibrated to the professional cinema standard, and obtaining the best possible image from my player, is my priority.
Hi and thank you for your comment. The PD6X is sold. I just want to make my comparision to the Ipuk 8592Pro and my AV10. I need only a HDMI connection and so the 8592pro is fine for me. On my Lightspace calibrated C29 Oled I could so no difference between V204, PD6, 8592pro or PD6X. Perhaps it is another experience with PJ and XXL screens. To your Audiocom Edition: I think it is a really good player and if your focus is on Video quality you don't have to change. But if you want to absolutly save about the quality, you habe to make a compare in your system. Bye Ben
The magnatar udp 900 it's the same x2 hdmi outputs with 2.0v but the Panasonic ub9000 is with new version 2.1v hdmi s. I dont another stand with hdmi cable 8k 2.1v you have speed of 48gbps and with hdmi 4k 2.0v you have 18gbps this is the difference !!!
I am interested to see how the sound quality is of the pannde vs the ipuk etc. You mentioned to expect a follow on video, when do you expect to release this?
I have 1 more question: if you pause the song, does the entire unit shut down after a few min.? Or does it stay pause (and NOT shut down) for as long as you want?
Over 10min in Pause the player is still in Pause with an audio CD. Just the Screensaver turns on. If you need more information about the Firmware you could visit Oppo discussions because the Player uses the JB Oppo Fw 20XRU-65-131. There is no difference to all the disc-based player or media player with this FW or an original Oppo UDP with JB.😉
@@benvader0815 as a coincidence, as of Xmas 2023, I stop using my Oppo 105. Its display screen does not display most chinese character properly, all I get is a Square. Meanwhile, my cheap $100 Sony Blu-ray player does display ALL the chinese character properly. So I have switch to Sony since. Since this unit is using the Oppo firmware, I don't have any faith in this unit displaying any USB listing of chinese songs name
It is a DIY-Power-Cable with Lapp CY110 (3x2,5qmm) and DIY Power-Plugs from eBay. I will not speak about my price. I got the player from cineultra.eu. The Guy is very friendly, helpful and dies a very good support.
Why? It plays CD, DVD, dvd-a, sacd, BR, uhd-BR, dts-cd and so much from HDD. Which Disc Format is missing and Oppo/Pioneer UDP are also called universal player
