I love the 20's. The jazz of Dixie, the jazz of New Orleans rules! Economy was on the move, the music was lively, the times were merry -- the roaring 20s.

swing is more known in the 40's and this is electro swing, so not even the "20s" style. if you want real swing from the 40s check out Glenn Miller, he practically created swing.

no, i don't want 40s swing, that was the era of the big bands and Glen Miller, which drowned out the poetic soul and counterpoint of the 20's which could more accurately be described as Dixie. (But I do enjoy Miller's In the Mood.) The genre might be called electro swing, but the tent is big and this song in particular not only is 20s style, but so is the video obviously. I know what I'm talking about. Furthermore, the 20s did include swing, it was an earlier kind of swing with a Dixie flavor, out of which the 40s developed albeit on a different road altogether. Today, swing may be more known to be in the 40s out of retrospect, but I still prefer the 20s swing, thank you.

Swing era, aka big band era, 1935-1945, this style is called electronic SWING and based on swing songs. Swing isn't limited to Glenn Miller, and the video is so 40s it hurts. But to each their own.

+Kitty catxxx (kittycatxxx) I'm not saying there wasnt a swing era in the 40s. Even so, such doesn't obviate at all that swing was present in the 20s before giving rise to the "swing era" of the 40s. Furthermore, have you read the video description? Look at it: "This is our brandnew retro Video shot 1929 at a Party in the Fcuk Yoga Bar to a song from the album "Tonight Josephine!"" The clothes is obviously 20s. Look at the black scenes with explanations of the next scene: this is what was done in the silent movies! Obviously more 20s than 40s! Why are you arguing about this anyway? Why do you care so much?

Napoleon is famous for saying "not tonight Josephine" to his wife Josephine when he didn't want her to wash downstairs, basically he liked fish. Just reminded me of that for some reason :)

The genre is known as Electro swing. And for other artists, I'd recommend Caravan Palace, Caro Emerald, Jamie Berry, and Parov Stelar. I'm a big fan of Tape Five, so check out a lot of their other songs. Really recommend Bad Boy Good Man. You can also check out electro swing mixes by various people like Leah Brown Music or Xerfox Music or FunkyPanda.

+vanessa valentine Swing is another name for Jazz. Electro Swing is an adaption of it where electric music samples are used, some have Jazz instruments played too. This is new generation. Swing is from the early 1900's, late 1800s?

AutisticG4ming that's weird cos i feel like i don't like jazz but this kind of energetic dance music could be a thing for me. jazz is depressing and mopey though i dont know much about it,. perhaps you get all types of moods from the genre?? something to look into i guess!!!

i'll have to agree on victor on this one. If we don't ask for meanings in Madonna's videos, it's cause it's crap, we don't listen to it. You guy's are really good, i'd love to see you go up, hopefully you'll help music get back on it's tracks. But you need to be modern, even if your music is inspired by the oldies and goodies.

I love you, Tape Five. It's an okay music video, but it seems to be only effects, costumes and trying to be old fashion, but there's no real meaning in the things you do in it. You just seem to walk around in a bar doing old fashion things. I want a little story :)
