I hind sight, yes...The late 80's and early 90's had a lot of really, really good bands. And record labels were giving deals to Rock bands back then and a shot to see what happens. But you never knew which ones were gonna truly "Go". I remember seeing Rage Against The Machine at Cal State Northridge college around this time period. They were good. None of us knew that they would blow up like that. Pantera, Alice in Chains, Primus, Nirvana, Sound Garden...No clue that those bands of that era were gonna become this iconic..
I've heard Phil hit the high notes live in like one recording. Must've been tough to do with all the heavy singing. I wish he would've tried to keep at least one huge high note at the end of the song.
It's very rare to see Phil and Dime do the complete outro live. It's not an easy task to hit the high notes vocals and harmonic pinch squeals! It was a pleasure to see it here! Thanks! Also like to add the unsung hero during Pantera's existence: Grady Champion!! You can see him briefly when he removes a foot pedal towards the end.
Hey GODFATHER123, you are so awesome! Thanks for the time capsule of the greatest band in the world. RIP Dime, you are the man. RIP Vinny. Love you guys miss you guys. Getcha pull
RIP Dimebag. Man was a phenomenal guitarist and human being, possibly the best live version of Cemetery Gates I've ever heard. Its sad his life was taken in such a tragic way.
Rex's gypsy pants are banging lol Dime's solo is as sexy as ever. I like this version of Phil too. All backed by the powerhouse that is Vinnie Paul. Nuts
Damn dimebag could make a guitar scream phil hitting them high note’s probably won’t happen again it’s so hard on your vocal cords but damn that rocked
The transition phase, people are like thought u guys were an 80s style hair band, nah bitches we got some new shit for y’all, song starts audience, goes silent jaws drop,🖕🏼💪🏼👨🏿🦳
