Right. Also whatshisname the singer when he's like going back and forth with the guitars high pitched scream is fkn wild. 😂 That's some seriously impressive vocals though and range. Youd be hard up finding a professional vocal coach around who could pull that off. Course Dimebags guitar wins the battle in the end and gets the last say but he did pretty damn well. 😂
Had to get out the camo pants again for this one. One of Dimebag's best compositions - what an awesome song, with a kick ass solo. And Jason absolutely kills it here. It's a tough one to get all the details rights. We had to piece together how to play this one by searching through as many of the old live videos as you can find on RU-vid. Jason absolutely killed it. Sorry for the delay this week - there was a copyright issue. Hope you enjoy playing along!
this guy is literally reading my fucking mind. i said to myself "i need mr.tabs to upload a pantera cemetery gates tab." 23 HOURS LATER AND THE TAB WAS UPLOADED. tell me your secrets.
Cowboys From Hell was the first original metal album I've ever bought with my own money, back when CDs were still a thing in 2004. So many good memories attached to it, so much so that even the attitudes of a certain original band member can't tarnish. Great lesson as always, you really did justice to Dime.
CD's? What's that? Some kind of old app for cavemen to play their music through? And how did you download it to your phones and watches , rings, guitar amps, electric cars and other devices? And the whole $30 thing, how much bitcoin did it cost? This is America man, at least give us the price in Yuan? 🫤🤷♂️ But seriously, what do you mean about the certain band member thing? Was there there some sort of fight or drana or riff between the bandbor?
@@TheRetroBassist even though i agree it was messed up he did that, if you watch the full video he did that as a very bas attempt at sarcasm. a lot of people were shouting at him that he was a racist before he did the certain arm gesture and phrase, and he did that as a response. very badly handled, he shouldn't have done that, but i don't think he's a racist or anything
This has to be the best guitar page on RU-vid One of my favourite guitar songs that I couldn’t find accurate tabs for or transcription for anywhere until now Thanks Mr. Tabs🥰
Hitting the like button just doesn't seem to this do justice! Honestly didn't expect to see this song covered with all the tabs too, thank you 👍 Those wammy wails at the end were epic 😎
People rave about the ending solo, but I absolutely adore the intro (well, not just the solo), it’s simple but so incredibly effective and heartbreaking.
Ah, those screaming harmonics with a Floyd in the outro. I call those CC DeVilles because he loves just randomly throwing those in live solos. The best ones come with a salute. I think CC might have used Randall at one point as well (maybe first two Poison albums), he seemed to have played Crate live a lot back in the day, not sure if the Crate's were solid state. Tracii Guns from LA Guns used Randall on their first record, too, and possibly their second. Some classic stuff came from those solid state Randalls. Awesome performance here.
the song that got me into pantera.....i remember a buddy in school leant me the tales from the crypt soundtrack. the main riff is sooo haunting......i still get chills when i hear it
Amazing .amazing amazing guitar playing.worth the wait every week .the problem is i cant keep up with all these amazing songs to learn.i dont know how you manage to pull it off.great work every week .thank you
This moment has finally arrived! I have been following you since 2020 and all this time I was hoping that someday this lesson would come out. Thank you Mr Tаbs!!!!
I've always played the main riff at the nut, the longer string length means the pinches will pop a lot more than at the 5th fret. Dime also secretly (had his tech do the switching) used an open wah to boost the high frequencies of his divebombs.
Years ago when I first learned this song, the only reference I had was a guitar world tab. The pinches were down by the nut like you mentioned. It wasn’t until I relearned the song and seen videos of dime that I seen where he really plays them. And I find it strange because I agree with you. The pinch harmonics seem to pop more closer to the nut. At least for me!
@@jasonsheppard7428 I don't doubt that he chopped and changed the fretting position when playing live. When you're playing the same thing day after day for years, you (I at least) keep things fresh so it doesn't feel like playing by numbers.
@@jasonsheppard7428 Well it's not just because it's at the nut but also that pinch harmonics are easier to do on thinner strings so it's easier on the D than the A
Oh cara, o esforço que você faz pra trazer tabs das músicas como elas realmente são, nos mínimos detalhes, me deixa de queixo caído. Muito obrigado pelo esforço 🤘🤘
