Phil is such a great man, humbled. This is just 10/10. Thank you Phil, Rex, Zakk and Charlie and everyone involved. Thanx Metallica for bringing them on this tour. Much love
I remember from the early 90s when Metallica was huge and Pantera was big and they played in MOSCOW RUSSIA. In front of like 1 million fans. That was freaking awesome 😎
@@MadMaXCOD-pi4dy They weren't? Wonder where this video of them performing "Domination" came from??? ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-aDACorIaxNw.html Try again...
Man. This place is just too damn big. The last time I saw Pantera jam was at this little dive called Joes Garage in Fort Worth. It was a great place. The first time I met Dime (Diamond at the time) was in the green room after a show. He treated me like an old friend. Then he was like, "Hey. You wanna go to Whataburger?" I dont remember much after that.
Wow! Can't believe more people are seeing this. That's awesome bro. Saw them in 94, but never at such a cool venue where could meet them. Texas is a sacred PanterA fan ground.
Pantera shows are not like Pantera shows in the 90s people are actually sitting down at this show😮!! Still good to see the legend on stage doing what he absolutely loves!! PANTERA FUCKING RULES!!
Lol that's what I was thinking what a very controlled audience. Last time I saw them it was bruises and a touch of blood in a pit in 96 degrees. I saw them ozzfest 2000
If you go to the Lamb of God support tour venues, you're get some of that 90s wild energy in the mosh pit. I don't understand all this sitting in chairs -how can anyone remain that calm listening to PanterA? Every cell of my body explodes when I hear them. So fuckin' good. Always for the Abbot brothers!
I mean the terrible double bass playing from Lars. And the fact that metallica faked their double bass sound in the post-production for internet videos
Saw them at GMM festival in belgium this summer. It was a magic moment🤘🤘🤘 Last time was in stockholm in 1994. Hell Yeah...they sounds great and the spirit of Vinnie and Dimebag are with them❤
My first time seeing them and while I would’ve loved to have been able to seen the Abbot bros back in the day this was a great show! Charlie & Father Zack kicked ass! Phil sounded good too!
Can’t wait to see them next year!!!!! Have not seen them since 98. And I’ve never seen Metallica live. Taking my son. It’s going to be one amazing day together ❤
I’m seeing them here in Phoenix in two weeks. Never got a chance to see the original Pantera lineup but I don’t think they could of got two better musicians to fill such big shoes. Never seen Metallica live either.
My first concert ever when I was 14 was Metallica And Justice For All Tour 9/10/89 at Compton Terrace In Phoenix, AZ. Got turned onto a new band that opened called Faith No More. Years later got to see Pantera on 4/26/94 at Phoenix Civic plaza. I’m now 48 and still love all of those bands!!
I dont know what to feel about this...I was born in the 70s and grew up with the REAL Pantera...Because of Zakk and the respect I have for him and his friend here I might have to flip a Quarter
Me too - first saw in 94 at Donnington. Ive been following them on some of their tribute tour venues. Watch the shows with Lamb of God - way more aggressive crowd and how it was in the old days. They sound amazing to me and I love that Rita Abbot is touring with them and you can go and meet her in the Dime Memorial tent and see Dime's guitar and other goodies. It is an amazing tribute to the Abbot brothers. Always for the Abbot brothers!
This is the Metallica pop mainstream black album forward crowd. Metallica draws a radio friendly mainstream rock concert crowd, no pits just maybe a little fist pump from the wall street yuppies that make up most of the audience. Pantera headline shows are packing 20k a night, with insane mosh pits, not sure why they are doing this , maybe they didn't realize how big of a draw this reunion was gonna be! 30k in Hershey tonight for Pantera!
nah, I've been to Metallica concerts and there's definitely mosh pits. I believe the stage layout made people too close to each other and they couldn't form a good pit.
Yeah I'm not a Metallica fan. It's very one-dimensional compared to the vast influences Phil and Dimebag put toward Pantera. Combining Slayer, KISS, and The Smiths, I mean come on. Metallica even made an entire documentary pointing to the fact they were creatively bankrupt. They capitalize on their image. Pantera is very unique and I'm hoping there's a Detroit headline date ASAP
lords unmatched! zachaliath is doing the job right, he isn't trying to copy anyone, and he's still playing the parts. anyone disagree get the fuck on down the road!
Wish I could afford to see PANTERA in Seattle, day before my 52nd birthday too...but over $200 per ticket is too much. Not their fault, I know...but damn. Would've loved to see em. Last time I saw PANTERA , they opened for SABBATH and got a horrible sound mix. My all time favorite drummer too. Thanks for sharing this killer vid, awesomeness
I used to see Pantera in Ftworth for $10 back in the early 90’s . I remember Darrell went by Diamond Darrell long before he took on the name dime bag .
Don't see them in Seattle if you can get the money together. Try to see them headline rather than on the M72 tour. The farm (red) states seem to have the edgiest, authentic PanterA, crowd. Saw them in Milwaukee and will see them again in St Louis (that's only b/c I got a meet and greet).
C'mon people in the stands.. we can do better than just sitting there.. ever see when they play in Chile.. they put us to shame and this is our own homegrown band.. let's go!! show up people!!
I wanted to go to this show very badly but I had other obligations.. Now that I’m seeing the whole ridiculous stage set up and the lame/un-energetic crowd, I’m kind of glad I didn’t go.. I’ve seen plenty of videos of other recent shows and the crowds are all going wild. This isn’t what a Pantera show should be like.(in my opinion)
*_I wouldn't walk on the stage without shoes on. Mainly cuz other band members could've spit on or a fan could throw something up there that could cut him._*
Obviously. No one involved with this Pantera thing is claiming that he is. Zakk and Dimebag were really good friends. He's doing this to pay tribute to Dimebag. He even knows he's not ever gonna be as good as Dimebag.
Everybody busting the chops of the audience but that was one of the lowest energy performances of such an aggressive song as I’ve ever seen. Yep, we’re all getting older but go see Iron Maiden. Those guys are in their upper 60s (Nicko has crested 70) and they would run circles around this.
Love this band, but the 55 year old frontman with jiggly arm fat, who can't seem to get enough air......noooo thank you. It's saddening, watching band after band tarnish their legacies by putting out a product that they know is a hollow shell of the original. I heard they thought about Wayne Newton as an opener on their headlining tour, just so Phil would look younger by comparison.
