@@magnetarkhan my jaw dropped when i saw that hahaha , he is so drunk he can barely walk but he caught that super fast. I think he does the same thing in New level too haha
As in italian i have to say that back in the days basically all concerts shooted by "Videomusic" were shitty as hell because the camera guys always focused on the "frontman"... And even the editing sucks... Italian TV at that time was kindy ridicolous in terms of video shootings, but It was so cool to see bands like pantera, nirvana or kyuss on National TV ...good times.
I never EVER got to see PanterA live. My parents didn’t approve of any of there music let alone weren’t gonna spend their money on a ticket for me to go see them. So as I started cutting lawns to save money to go see them I always was either short or we had something going on. I was a Teen in the 90s. Fast Forward to 2004 I was in the Navy and Damage Plan came to Norfolk, Va where I was stationed at NAS Oceana, Va. they played at a venue called the Norva. That’s the 1 and only time I got to see Dime and Vinny. I was front stage and when they came out dime stood right in front of me. It was meant to be that I got to see him and Vinny. I flashed my TEXAS drivers License at him and he said “Look the Mother fuckers from Texas HELL YEAH!” I’m sad I never got to see PanterA but I’m so grateful I got to see them in Damage Plan. R.I.P. Dimebag & Vinny Paul. You are both greatly missed
GOM 1998. Black Sabbath, . Presente.

Even though Dimebag made a mistake, the genius came back very quickly and settled perfectly on the base again. For me, the fact that his brother is on the drums creates a kind of magic of musical connection, it's beautiful.
In 1998 was the only time I saw Pantera, and that concert was the same drunken shit from Phil like this, unfortunately... It's a pity they lost it so fast. Though neither the Trendkill nor the Reinventing albums were so bad as sometimes they're referred to...
No me gusta nada como suena Philip en directo. Y ahora aun menos. En estudio con la producción, es un cañón, pero sin ese apoyo, va regular para mi gusto.
This is the admitted sad period for Anselmo, being hooked on painkillers and heroin. He claims he can't remember shows around this time. Finally got back surgery to fix pain issue. He sounds like shit here. I've seen them twice... this is sad
I remember when cowboy from hell came out. Back then metal was still newer and that album just blew everyone's mind. They took over when Metallica retired after And Justice for all. Just kidding I loved the black album lol 😆
It’s true.. but then you got people from the early 70s who pine for the days when they watched Led Zeppelin live. Wish I had a Time Machine to go back to every era. Especially to see Dime
There concerts were the best saw them in 98 and 2001 you can Phil was getting crazy with his addiction in 2001 but they were still good then saw him with down at ozzfest in 2002 and Phil was hot mess lol very entertaining tho
Phil was pretty reckt in this one (this must've been one of the "drink a bottle of Wild Turkey to get on stage" shows he mentioned), but still somehow he's still holding it down and performing. I can empathize with going through agonizing back pain and doing whatever you can to find relief.
These guy's were beyond excellent! They are so tight. They were untouchable! I'd hate to be any band who has to play after Pantera. They look like amateurs. Pantera is still my favorite band and to this very day, no one can touch them. They are true legend's! R.I.P. Brother's Dimebag Darrell and Vinnie Paul Abbott. RE-SPECT
@@modifidious666 unreal ! was foo fighters on whole tour? i just dont remember ! but i dont much of anything, i was lucky enough see all till 20002001 , 1997 Columbus Ohio , they headlined ! ozz didnt show ! place was destroyed ! but prison and bunch jerry springer shit got me back in ky where aint shit to do but get high and blame everything else for my problems , lol, im honest anyway
@@brianpinion5844 I'm not quite sure but Milton Keynes england was the first date of the ozzfest 98 tour so probably the second time the foos met pantera, I read they met once before and know dave is a very close friend of Rita's, they make a great couple if that were ever to happen, they do loads of bbq events together.
i love it, but it actually hurts to listen to this version because of how strained phils vocals are. this was not a good time period for him and it shows. you only have to watch other live shows from different years to see the difference.
@@RichardDeBerryOfficial are you an actual musician who’s performed in a actual band live? If so I understand but I play guitar an I’ve performed live a couple times nothing big an playing with Phil would Throw me off
I saw them in Dallas at Starplex in '96 where Phil OD'd and had to be brought back to life. He performed better than this on that night. But, I think the brothers would be thrilled to tour with 2023 Phil
Dimes solo in new level is so close to the studio version, unbelievable. what a great guitar play he was, no one else could do that in the metal/rock genre except EvH, but most of the time, Eddie preferred to play something new anyway! I forgot Nuno, he certainly did the solos live pretty easily, but his face is so pretty that I am jealous of him hahah
Randy Rhoads mate! Engineers all said he was a freak could play a solo over and over note for note , every niche muffle etc . Listen to his guitar recorded over on albums no gimics he played them all . Love dime but Randy rip was special. And Dime wouldn't argue with me either he was a big fan. Check bootlegs of Randy he never put a foot wrong.
