I saw Pantera in 1993. I did not have money for the ticket but I went anyway , in the end I made friends with a group that was waiting for someone who came from another city , they never showed up , they gave me the ticket and I attended the best concert of my life . I've seen countless bands after that but none like Pantera. I will see Pantera again in December and I am as excited as when I saw them in 1993 .
1st time for Me was in 1991 in Minneapolis MN w/ Exodus & Suicidal Tendencies at 1st Ave. It changed My Life when I was 4 ft from Stage and Cowboys from Hell starting playing. The Strobe lights started and Boom....!! Dime was right in Front of Me. I had thrown an elbow to some Big Asshole Behind Me who was trying to get my spot and after the 1st song Dime leaned down and handed me the picks he had used so far. He told me later to see A Kid take out a 6ft 2 Dumbass was his highlight of night. I saw Pantera 12 more times before they broke up. I just attended PANTERA I Wis a few weeks ago and I'm going again to see them with Lamb of God This Aug 23rd in Denver CO
I must confess. I started this album when I started to mow my lawn and now that I’m finished, there’s still 6 songs left.…..I must listen to it all. Sweating my ass off drinking a beer and letting my mind take a nostalgic trip to a better time in music.
Saw Pantera multiple times back in the 90's including at a real small place called Club 1000 (which is long gone) in Nashville, TN when they played most of this album live before it was released. My friends and I were absolutely blown away at how loud and heavy these new songs (at the time) were when heard live. Phil was roaring like a monster. Great times
I was the reason why Pantera gained fans in my town. When I first heard Pantera I was amazed! Walk. I showed the song to my neighbors and they were shocked. They shared it with more friends, and everyone asked what band it was. I'm talking about Denmark and then a small town in Chile.
Greatest metal album of the 90’s era , no doubt about it. This album quickly revived the entire scene and showed people that heavy metal doesn’t just bleed out and die
I listen to this and it makes me remember them at their best. It was a unique time for music that only happens every other decade or so. Pantera was raging on and at the same time there was Kurt and Nirvana changing the mindset. Oh and of course bands like White Zombie, Korn, Rage Against the Machine, and others striving to do their thing. All on all, I miss it. I just would like to say thank you to all of the bands of that era. "THEY" get blamed for appt of bad stuff that happened I the world but I can truly say that I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for them keeping me sain. Oh yes and THE DRUGS AND WHORES WERE GOOOOD!!!!!!😮😊😂
I remember when this album came into my life, story time: 15 years, listening to soft rock, I come across the name of some guys like Pantera. I tried to give it a chance, it should not be clarified that I ended up with a bursting head from just listening to the first song, my head hurt from just listening to the first few seconds, but I came back for more. And here we are, 3 years later, making my head hurt from just doing Headbanging.
LOVE YOU DIMEBAG AND VINNE!!! No one can even come close! So grateful I saw you both perform on tour as Damageplan, TWICE. You were PANTERA! RIP Brethren!!! You left us before this world was flushed down the shitter, the 80's & 90's were better days! Thanks for making Metal what it is, and the best it ever will be! PANTERA!!!
After the death of the Darrell brothers, metal community felt like orphans. However, their legacy makes us remember how good it once was. And this cannot be taken away.
I used to drive around in the ghetto where I lived with my little brother with walk on repeat blastin smokin a joint and drinkin beer just to get back at all those gangbangers!!!They loved it!!!They would pull up next to me and start head bangin out of respect!!!

É um álbum sensacional ! Um clássico do Rock pesado ! Virou uma lenda , este trabalho... Muitas bandas se inspiraram neste álbum , com som bem agressivo . PANTERA pra sempre ! Rio de Janeiro-🇧🇷
If you grew up from 1975 to 85 ish you know this album was the most crushing piece of music ever! Dime phil and Vinny Paul conquered metal and surpassed even slayer via influence and presence
