I love how the number one is supplice and the pilot berlioz and reyleonards a french canadien company because berlioz in real life was named hector berlioz a french romanticist who composed a number of symphonies...its really cononical that in his "symphonie fantastique" the 4th movement is called the marche au supplice relating to berlioz and ac supplice
I dont care what people say. Hardcore AC veterans and noobs alike, listen here! I got into AC with AC 2, and I've loved every game since! It's different, and maybe a little easier but it's just as fun as it's always been and I'm psyched for Armored Core V! FROM, I've got complete faith in you!
This is the one that plays on "Marche Au Supplice", right? Damn- That mission kicks ass. So much better than the Occupation of Arteria Carpals... partially for the fact that it actually has some challenge to it (Occupation: Either 1.0 Regs Missile Fest, Any Regs Wall Canopussing, Any Regs Kojifest, 1.15/1.2/1.3/1.4 Blade Fest are all EASY WINS.) I actually have trouble with the March to Torment.
@Sparten942 Eh...Only works in AC4 cause the grenade launchers are practically nukes. Plus, the only thing you could mount that loadout on would be pretty heavy and not that good of a blader since you'd need a slightly sensitive FCS to use the blades while still having a good lock-on time for the Ogoto's. In my opinion, use RA: 04MARVE ; LA: 051ANNR ; LH(Optional): Portable Blade ; RS(Right Shoulder.): Ogoto ; FCS: INBLUE ; Tuner: Full Energy Cap and Output + Full KP Output. Generator: GA Gen
i honestly like all armored core games. probably because ive never played the older AC games. but i can see why some people hate it. i personally like it. im an ace combat fan and ive played almost every ace combat game. when assault horizon came out i hated it. i guess it might be because the controls and gameplay are really different. and that might be why people dont like armored core v
Wait really? I also haven't played the older AC games before 4 but when V came out I loved it too for different reasons which still earned a spot among my favorites.
@ ZDAngel yes it was.. beating it on HardMode unlocked the sweet looking wingshaped ECannons it's also EXTREMLY HARD you fight #s 1, 4, 12 and 8 (i think) at the same time with no back up
Make it each new player gets a bog standard GA New Sunshine NEXT, do missions from a generated list of missions to gain credit. Features should include a Faction PvP Arena, inter-faction Arena, daily territory offense/defense, CTF "Retrieve Intel" type battle, "Secondary City/Base" war, faction Arms Fort battles, "abandoned base" dungeon exploration, and Satellite Cannon battle, winner gets to use it in battle. Part markets and (re)supplies include inflation adjusted to faction win/loss ratio.
Painful to see this happen to great games. Just remember Ace Combat. After masterpieces like Unsung War and Zero they degraded to Assault Horizon... The good part is that 4 and 4A will be remembered and cherished now that 5 doesn't live up to expectations.
@wildgene24 Make it corporation faction vs anti-establishment faction to simplify things :P 6 factions/companies will ruin stuff with "company loyalty" thing (using parts only from that company or company subsidiary; I hate GA NEXTs, love Arisawa 'nade cannons, and choose Omer generators, so :/)
Man I must admit...If they kept the soundtrack from 4, and added the pace and weaponry of FA... Armored Core would have been wonderful. I liked 4 but FA had more missions and more parts. 4 had better music e-e Too bad 5 fucked things up. I was really hoping it would compete with these two if not the ones on the Ps2.
Though five is much better story wise, and people who actually played the original games enjoy five more than 4 and For Answer, personally I thought they were letdowns because they drifted away from the Realistic image the series had maintained all these years, I loved how five was able to take almost everything from 4 and make it realistic.
I started with 4. I don't want to touch the older games and I love V as much as I love for and 4A. If the older ones were refreshed with V's flavor I would definitely play them all.
