Nice review! This watch would make a great Father's Day gift for the outdoorsy dad. Definitely not an office desk diver but one you would actually wear on vacation or pursuing watersports. Would look awesome strapped over a wetsuit and offers great specs for the money. The design seems like a marriage between a Panerai and a Longines Legend Diver, without the hefty price tag. Word of warning about the sunburst blue dial though, fish will get attracted to the flickering light reflecting off it likened to a fishing lure. You don't want to come face to face with a barracuda or shark! The pointer date on the Panzera is also seen on the IWC Top Gun Chronograph. And the dual-crown design, with the rotating internal diving ring is reminiscent of the Super Compressor case dive watches designed in the 1960s. The term Super Compressor denotes an ingenious function which is a spring loaded case back which through the increase of water pressure, creates a vacuum seal to the watch making it even more water tight. This technology was adopted for military diving applications and commercial diving in the 1960s & early 1970s. Jacque Cousteau was known to have worn them as well. The Panzera with 300m water resistance most likely uses this technology. Overall it's a highly functional recreation watch, great for camping, snorkeling, fishing, surfing or yachting, without the higher price tag associated with luxury brands. Wearing an expensive watch would prohibit the use of it in water sports or sea surfing environment. For those occasions when you need a real watch instead of a desk diver, grab your Panzera!!
No it's not a desk warrior watch, although I am going to buy one! Makes sense it nods to the IWC, because those guys are big fans of the OWC Big Pilot.
That was awesome. I’m just launching as ACTIVE DIVERS AUSTRALIA and wanted an Aussie watch to show while shooting my videos. I came to seriously consider Panzera a few days ago and only found your RU-vid review today 24.1.23. I’ve subscribed to you here and on IG. It was great get an Aussies review. Loved it. Thank you. Regards. Warren.
I wouldn't think you would need a helium escape valve for a 300M rated watch. I think those are designed for more extreme depths. I may get this brand. They seem interesting. Great video.
I stumbled upon Panzera on my Facebook feed had to look it up cause I’m really picky with my watches. My watches are either Japan or Swiss movement all automatic because I despise battery powered watches. Low and behold, this particular watch you’re reviewing is right on my spending limit and the first Australian made watch I’m buying that not only looks cool but also automatic. I bought it its now being processed and should on its way to my home state of Texas.
@@AussieWristWatchI’m really excited! Excellent customer service too, they didn’t hesitated changing my rubber strap from that blue you have to the darker blue (R8) upon request. For how much I got it for its a lot of watch!
I love the looks of the Panzera watch and was so close to buying a 45Q with the 50% sale going on at the moment but ultimately I think the watch is just too big for my wrist :(
I have this watch, though with the stainless bracelet. Can't recommend it highly enough. Great watch for the money. Also being a big bloke with large wrists and hands it is good to have a watch that doesn't get lost on my wrist.
That watch is so gorgeous even if I don't win it I think I will buy me one but I really would like to win It because you know there's nothing better than a free watch.
Yeah I think that's right. I'm leaning towards Panzera and I've got a Tag that never sees the light of day that could enjoy some time out on a golf course!
@@AussieWristWatch just to let you know. Panerai, Omega etc aren’t watches that are in demand especially for robbers. The fact that you are female wearing a big watch is what would stand out. A Panzera would stand out on your wrist because it’s large. That’s the only thing that someone might look at regardless of the brand. So, no matter what you wear, just be cautious. Hope that made sense. 😂🤙🤙
Good looking range of Aussie-brand watches for sure and this giveaway is a great initiative for "early adopters" of the channel. That said, if Panzera is selling on-line without an opportunity to actually try the watches on wrist, it is ESSENTIAL they provide lug to lug dimensions and they don't.
Good review Jessica. As for the actual watch , it's not for me . Too large and thick and not fussed about the dial either . But that's just my opinion . Which is not intended to dissuade others from buying it 👍
