show created by craig mccracken show description: An imaginative boy acquires superpowers after finding five cosmic rings. nothing belongs to me, watch it on netflix
ok whew, i was JUST like "hell yeah, i think im gonna get into kid cosmic now!" then i scroll just a BIT and i see this video pop up and i was like "nevermind."
@@weebyjeeby still spoiled yourself. Same way I found this too, got interested and IMMEDIATELY stumbled on this video, thanks for no proper spoiler warning 'beast'..
I cried everytime when I watch this scene...😭 Papa G, Kid Cosmic's grandpa, ever since his first appearance from episode 1, had always been on his side from using the power stone, from going to outer space, to being on the superhero world, he's been there for them to comfort Kid after his parent's died from the car crash. Optimistic, caring, and someties serious, Papa G is a good example of a well-written grandparent/guardian in all of cartoons next to Grunkle Stan.
Actually Papa G might actually be Kids great grandfather as he is apparently related to Kids mum but is not her father and seeing how old he is it is possible
Papa G shall gain the biggest metal there ever was. it's called the G metal, and it was invented solely for the purpose of being awarded to Papa G; A man, A father, A friend, A hero. respect him for what he did to save earth, and may his name resonate through the galaxy long after we're gone.
@@thebros1080 It's also visible in s2 ep 3 when he is getting ready for the party and later when he is gambling he kisses it and calls it a good luck charm
I was crying so hard during this scene. Then we get to the next episode and suddenly I'm angry but also laughing because they got me all sad for nothing.
Sad for nothing?, papa g is in a wheelchair and will inevitably die (I would give him a month at most of life since we know just how beneficial the stone was to his healthcare and fitness) kid didn't save him, he merely bought him a few months. Not trying to be morbid by the way
@@sebastiengendron6427 I dunno, the oldest person right now in 2022 is 119 years old. G said he was 112. If things go right, he COULD potentially live 5 to maybe 7 more years. And before anyone says it’s “impossible”…..this is a fictional story, and we’re talking about something that happens after the show already ends, so that part is left up to us to decide since it isn’t written into the story. If I want him to live to 119 then he’s GOING TO live to 119, dammit:)
@@kaylasilverstein4137 while I can agree with you, but it won't be the same as season 1 and 2 papa g. He won't be....I dare say energetic and he may need life support (like I said, the stone he had not only increased his life span but gave him the energetic body of a teenager at an old age)
@@marcosandrey5059 nope not how it works, the stones of powers are all gone they were ghosts of dead worlds just like erodius, but theres a chance he just gets better from the aliens visiting, theres no way that there isnt some type of scientific treatment that can keep him young and fit
Oh jeez as someone who already lost their grandpa a few years ago, I FELT this scene. Papa G is very similar to how my own grandpa was….my cousins and I even called him Papa lol (this was years before the show came out so just a coincidence, we didn’t name him after the character lol). I immediately liked/got attached to the character from day 1 and it took me a while to figure out why, but I think it’s because of that:)
This being I think the only time kid directly calls him "grandpa" is extra sad as kid's dropping any nicknames and realizing he could really be loosing his last relative (good thing he doesnt but still-)
This scene was so emotional for me, I was so scared that Papa G didn’t make it and the fake out they did was wonderfully done. I cried in relief when it turned out Papa G was ok because he’s definitely my favorite. Which is strange for me because I’m usually attached to the main characters most :)
This was one of the most deepest moments In show history I think the moral is spend the time you have with others while you can because once they pass you can never have that time again.
This is a super-important message. It is easy to assume your grandparents will always be around, especially while they're relatively healthy and vibrant. But that downturn that eventually takes us all can come at any moment, seemingly overnight. One day, you're visiting and they're fine; a week or two later, your next visit, and they're visibly slowing down. Or, worse, they fall and break something, and never heal from it. Cherish your time with them.
i bawled SO hard during this scene it's not even funny Kid already lost so much with his parents & him having to think that he was gonna lose Papa G too absolutely broke me. i still can't believe that they faked us out bc that got me sobbing even more
I saw the Ad for this show on Netflix, and thought it was just some cute show for kids, but this looks so much more than that. I haven’t even watched the show and I wanted to cry.
I have been through many show fake outs. This is the first one to actually fool me in several years. And honestly it usually annoys me when the fake out death happens this is the one time i was happy for it to be a fake out.
I love papa G. I watched this episode right before bed, and I cried my heart out. Can’t believe they broke our hearts a bit. I watched the next episode first thing in the morning. They did us good 😂
The first time i finished the series i was like "NOOOOOOO he died 😭😭😭😢😭😭😢😭😭😢😭😭😢😭" When papa g suvied i was like "YEEEEESSSS OMG HE SUVIED" whist crying
Yeah and I kinda wish they made an episode 20 years later epilogue were Kid and Jo got married and have 10 year old twins Rosa pregnant with Papa Gs spirit watching over them
It’s my tinfoil hat theory that they were debating in the writing room whether to kill him off or not. The fake out in the beginning of the next episode was actually storyboarded and still being debated in the writing room until, finally, they concluded to keep him alive
Bro i freaking crying like a baby when i watched this scene😭😭😭😭 and i thought he really are gonna dead but nah he not Not gonna lie they got us in the first half
The next episode, where he was sitting on the porch completely still had me extremely worried about if they had the guts to pull what I thought they were trying to pull.
I so loved this scene this show si so underrated I was just super sad when they don’t have powers and kid break beceaus nobody will ever know what happend and became nothing but before realize he just wanted poeple to know there was many life form in the universe
I cried. Most of the time I typically don't feel much in emotional moments in shows because they're cheesy but this hit me fr. Then I realised the funeral was for the dead planets.
Not to mention this episode is similar to Lord of The Rings and Moana when Bible gives up the ring and his age catches up with him and in Moana’s case restores the heart of Te Fiti who became Te Ka and Eroduis the planet killer has a similar story
