Goblin reviews the new Papa Bowls at Papa John's by creating a 7-topping Create-Your-Own Bowl. Papa John's has a new item, but it's not a pizza...or is it? Papa John's debuts Papa Bowls, a crustless pizza that highlights the toppings and is keto friendly. Available in Chicken Alfredo, Garden Veggies, Italian Meats, and Create-Your-Own, Goblin makes his own creation with seven of his favorite toppings. But is this crustless pizza as good as a real pizza? We saw Goblin enjoy this same type of product a long time ago at Marco's Pizza. Will the Papa Bowl be as good? Great review D.G. I used to think I was the only one in the work lunchroom, who used to pick off all the cheese and toppings from my slices and throw the rest in the garbage, but now I see there is a pizza bowl community. Of course I only did this to sub par pizza. When I order pizza to my specifications I do eat the entire piece. Sorry you missed out on your extra sauce.

If you have access to the chain and want to try a good pizza bowl, get the one from Marco's. Lots of product, a huge variety of toppings, and plenty of SAUCE! 😁

This is the first time I have seen any pizza bowls. This would have been a good idea when I had my pizza place. I did have a customer that wanted a crust less pizza. Fun Review!! 2 stars.. not too bad for what it was.

Yeah, there were a few technical flaws with this one, but definitely not terrible. I do think the Marco's bowl is much better overall. I would love to see your take on it. I think it would have been a great addition to your pizza place. 😁

I like the concept , but I'm really not a Pappa Johns fan , but I would give it a shot. I like sauce on my pizza so that would be a downer . Thanks for sharing I was really interested in how these pizza bowls are. Great review my friend 👍

Mrs. Goblin loves Papa John's so we would usually get their brand when we wanted pizza. We also had a contract with them at work for years, so I've had a LOT of Papa John's pizza in my life lol. It's not my favorite national brand of pizza, but I don't hate it. If you have access to the chain, I would definitely try the Marco's bowl over this one. Much better overall. 😁

Hey DG!! I had no idea that pizza bowls were even a thing!! I think it’s a great concept, especially for those who are cutting carbs, but my question (as a whole, not this one in particular) is do you feel like something’s missing with these bowls? Cause I think I would. But I am very crust friendly when it comes to pizza, so maybe that’s why. I’m not an alfredo fan either. 😝 And I agree, the toppings should not include cheese! Unless you want extra. And they really didn’t put too much pizza sauce on yours. 😞 I can see why you gave it 2 stars. Thanks for the review!! I haven’t seen that option available here yet, but I haven’t been to a Papa John’s in a while either. Great review, DG!!

Yes, Alfredo and I have never been friends lol. Actually, I'm not even thrilled with chicken on a pizza, but that's another issue. If you have access to the chain and want to try one, I would definitely try the bowl at Marco's. Lots of product, lots of toppings to choose from, and lots of SAUCE! 🤣 But yes, I do love crust and always order regular pizza when I'm not reviewing a bowl. 😁

I appreciate the fact they have a create your own given they’re making the base an issue. Like you, I’m not touching Alfredo. Not today. Not any day. I think it’s like $13 in Canada, so $9 feels like a steal, even with conversion. But I agree, that is one seriously light offering of a main course. I eat light and I’m not sure it would fill me up.

Yeah, I would definitely go with the Marco's bowl if I was ever in the mood for one of these. I don't know what it is lately with all of these places being so skimpy on the sauce. I CONSTANTLY run into that problem, even when I order extra sauce. Is there a tomato shortage? 🤔

i work at papa johns and these have not been as big of a hit as we had once thought they would be. the pepperoni stuffed crust by far is better than these bowls and honestly, are better sellers. i don't see these bowls as being a permanent menu item because they just have not been a big hit on the market.

Thank you so much for the comment! I absolutely LOVE when someone who works at an establishment that I'm reviewing comments on a video. It brings an added insight that isn't available otherwise. The flavor is good on this. I just think there was a lot more product in the Marco's bowl when I did that one. And it needs more sauce lol! Thank you so much for watching! 😁
