I still remember the first time I heard "This is my last resort" sometime in the beginning of Summer of 2000. I was 15 and I was trying call my friends via the home cable phone.. no one was at home and the cruel part was that no one called me to go out with them. I remember how I was staring through my room's window and just said in my thoughts "this is my last time trying to continue with the friends I feel they are not my friends anymore"... then I just turned the tv to try find something funny to distract me from the tough toughts ... and this is how I stumbled on the VIVA tv channel playing the new hit from Papa Roach. It just clicked with my soul so damn right ... to this day, 24 years later, I still don't allow any toxic person to stay in my life! Papa Roach - My Last Resort is the fuel for this part of my personality!

Papa Roach are brilliant lads for making this wicked masterpiece that shows how you are not alone with your struggles and there is always a way through them. Last Resort is more than a song but a message to never give up on yourself and beliefs even when things are looking gloomy. The music video was way too good to be made for it's time and the energy of them is breathtaking especially how they move with enjoyment while playing their kickass music. Papa Roach are lads that need to be toasted for their contribution to this planet and live up to their so cool and incredible persona so huge applause to them.

It was the song in our neighborhood that united my friend group who was made up of a bunch of kids from different cultural backgrounds. Still hits hard in 2023. As I was a kid who didn’t know English good enough to actually understand the lyrics, I thought it’s just a catchy song. It still is catchy, but now I can understand it and relate to it. Songs like this really do help a little to continue to exist (I can’t call my existence a “life”).
