Nice! It is indeed so simple, so simple that we miss it. A child does not overthink and over-complicate things, so it is easier to see. This child, living in this community had learned that "he's not free" and thus is asking "how to be free?", when in fact, he's already more free (less burdened by beliefs about himself) than most there.

Nobody can stop thinking! Just like your breath, functioning by itself, thoughts are happening in the same natural way :) trying not to think requires effort, truth is effortless!

On the contrary, awareness of thought is not thinking. Thinking is a dualistic function of the mind that requires effort. The subject does not require the object, but the object requires the subject.

As I see it, thinking is only dualistic IF there is a thinker identifying with the flow of thoughts. When I said "Nobody can stop thinking", I meant that nothing can stop thoughts from appearing in consciousness, that would be an impossible job.

No thinker, no thoughts = no thinking. It really is as simple as that. Awareness can exist without thought, but thought cannot exist without awareness. Thoughts are willfully created, if you meditate for long enough you see the point where personal conscious effort is made to form thought. "There is, O monks, an unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed. Were there not, O monks, this unborn, unoriginated, uncreated, unformed, there would be no escape from the world of the born, originated, created, formed" - Gautama Buddha.

I started watching Mooji first, and when I learned that he had a teacher named Papaji, I tried to listen to the latter, and surprisingly I didn’t resonate. I kept listening to Mooji for some time. One day I decided to try Papaji again, and lo and behold, Everything he said made sense to me and I was in awe, and I have been in awe with Papaji’s teachings ever since. There is the perfect time for everything.
