Where do you purchase the P C Petrifier? How do you make your ‘’dip” ( what is the mix)? Discovered your paper bead tutorial/videos around October 2022. I began my bead making experience several years ago when making albums and journals. At that time, I was making Boho beads, which is still my favorite bead. However, your videos and sharing of your experience has been an educating experience for me. Using the papers from my album making has been a great use of the papers. Interesting to me with the paper beads is that I will never have to actually purchase another piece of paper in my lifetime! I see beads in every piece of junk mail, magazine and throw-away items on a daily basis, 😂. Thank you for taking the time to share your art form and the great tips that enhance individual experiences.

Hi GJ! First, thank you for the kind words..I purchased my PC Petrifier from Home depot.i but in gallons. You do not mix it with anything, use straight from the bottle. My brand is boho so we have that in common. Paperbeads are very therapeutic and I love sharing my ideas and tricks. I invite you to my FaceBook paperbead group. We share ideas and post jewelry pics. Thank you for supporting my channel. ja-jp.facebook.com/groups/236164590836471/about/

I love the drying rack it’s perfect. Right now I am still a cardboard box which I did have problems with some bleeding like the red paper some of the green scrapbooking paper. So I learn to only use those separate. But I like the idea of using bill clamps to hold them straight. I have only done one batch of beads in PC Petrifier did it 3 time but did not watch them. Ended up leaving to dry overnight each dipped because I did not choose the best time to do it. This was very helpful so now I have better was to dip and dry them.Thank you so much.

How do you keep your “S” hooks in place on the rack? When I strung my last group of beads, I didn’t put waste beads in between. Boy, did that cut out a lot of time. I did use the crimps on each end. To tie the fishing line and use a waste bead, I will definitely do next time. On my metal clothes drying rack, I use wooden clothes pins and drape the end of my strands over one side of them. Thank you so much for this very useful tutorial. Jerry Lynn

Thank you for the tutorial! It was very helpful! I just tried finishing my first ever set of paper beads and this method seemed to work really well! I am curious if you have any tips for 1" or longer tube beads. Do you hang these vertically just like your other beads, but with seed beads in between? I tried hanging mine horizontally since I currently do not have any seed beads handy, and I found that the horizontal process worked fine for the two layers of PVC wood petrifier, but the second I got to the Minwax polyacrylic step, I noticed that the liquid was pooling on the bottom of my beads instead of dripping off, so now those beads have an awkward droplet shape on one side. ☹I’d assume that these lumps could potentially be sanded off, maybe with a 400-grit paper? P.S. About how many seconds do you typically dunk your beads into the Minwax?

Hi! Thank you for finding my channel. I dip all my beads the same way , vertical with seed bead in between each one. Tip: pooling on the ends should not happen if you shake the beads that are on the fishing line once you dip. Give them a alittle shake after the dip that will prevent them from pooling on the ends. Also reverse them hanging after 30 minutes that will also help with pooling on edges. After I dip with pc petrifie, I dip for about 1 minute in polycrylic. Remember , therr is a coat of glaze already on it from from The PC so you want to dip for longer. Then don't forget to shake it off. I hope this helps! I'm making a bunch more videos so stay tuned and look out for the new ones. Thanks again Gina

@@BellieBeads Thank you so much! I had been shaking them out after they were dipped, so I will try hanging them vertically with seed beads and rotating them instead to see if I get better results. :) Love your videos btw!
