If anyone is interested in learning Paper Mario I would be happy to help! I can also answer any questions about the run, or about Paper Mario in general if you have something to ask. Besides that I want to apologize to everyone who donated for Attack FX B to be put on. I did not equip it when I should have because I was in the middle of Chapter 5, the most action-packed part of the run. Since there was so much going on I struggled to try to explain it all while it was happening. Ultimately this lead me to forget about Attack FX B in that moment because I was trying to keep the commentary running smoothly! Thank you very much for watching, supporting Games Done Quick and donating to doctors without borders!
imglower ok so dude how do you save at the end of the game cause luigi will not let you go anywhere else than the castle and the save button is not there for me and then when i get to the castle the parade starts and then when mario and peach are looking at the fireworks it goes forever literally, and then if i switch the console off it will go back to where i saved before the bowser battle its so *Frustrating* (sorry if i have bad spelling)
Ashton Proud that never works. All you are able to do is turn off the system and do other things. I still have that save file finished 100% on my Wii U VC. As far as I know, you aren’t able to do anything.
You've gotta hand it to the game creators though. To this day, at least five years after the run was first seen at a GDQ, they still have yet to figure out exactly how to skip major parts of the beginning of the game, such as the supposed possible wrong warp from Prologue Bowser to Final or Hallway Bowser. They made their game well, despite all of the skips they've found in it.
I know you mean well, but this implies that games with massive exploits aren't made as well. For instance, OoT where a bug jar can warp you to the end of the game. If an exploit takes years to figure out and intentionally perform, that's not the sign of a poorly-made game.
Good stuff! Unfortunate luck on the later fights, but that's kind of the nature of the AI, particularly for this category. Another thing I don't think was mentioned, but Final Bowser actively uses the shockwave move more often if Mario has his Jump / Hammer charged.
Have you seen Getting Over It With Bennett Foddy? Speedrunners can't spend 3 minutes playing without starting it over. Speedrunning is so hard these days...
It may be bad RNG to Glower but I call it KHARMA for wanting to leave Luigi behind. Luigi gets enough disrespect as it is why leave him behind? Nonetheless good run and was a joy watching.
I spent all summer getting to chapter 6 when I was 8. And now you tell me if I just jumped in a corner for a while and flipped the stick around I can skip to it??? Seriously though, thats a nice run
i'm about to start another play through after 5 years of not playing it. i cant remember where you get that secret card that lets you access the gambling pipe in the lower part of toad town.... can anyone help me out and let me know where to find that access card?????
They use the binary representations of the decimal numbers, which is defeating the point. It's a decimal counter represented in binary, instead of a binary counter. Kinda bugs me too.
It is possible to beat the game without Kooper! It is just extremely difficult to do. Why don't you skip Kooper and Bombette? Can you not get out of Bowser's prison with Lakilester??
@@CharTheDude saveststes are allowed on wii u because it's part of the official console. Doesn't matter though if your going for wr or a good time it waste time to save and if you fail the runs basically dead anyway
@@iamverytrash3920 save states are not allowed in any WR attempt. Does not matter if it's a feature of the WiiU. An RTA means that time is recorded from start of the file, to final button press. If you manipulate the load or go to the WiiU menu, you have stopped the game. Which makes the run invalid. If you were allowed to make save states because it's a feature of the console, then you basically make TAS's legal in speed runs because people would just manipulate the WiiU save state system to hell.
Nintendo needs to make a similar paper mario game as the original from n64 and/or thousand year door from the gamecube. As a 90's born man, I really dislike nintendo for changing up the franchise of paper mario and making it completely different. Color splash is totally short, boring, lacks story as the first 2 games. I will never buy another game or the switch until the paper mario game comes back to its roots like the original.
