🚨 Note about batteries🚨 I DID use the ones from their website. I saw their note about using quality batteries before buying initially. These were the ones that had the issue. Sorry, just had a lot of people ask and wanted to make it clear 🙂
I have just ordered the same model, thanks for this warning, I will remove the batteries whenever I am not using it. I'm glad your incident wasn't so serious. I guess it was the asteroid city experience😅
I didn't even wanted to buy this camera, i just like the idea of paper camera, but this is very scary. Even worst that it was their own batteries. I would expect that with every thing that goes on the market, there were some safety test made to ensure that it's safe to use.
Oh my goodness! I am sorry to hear this happened to you. Same exact thing - overheating, smoke, electricity smell? I had a nice mark on my skin for a couple days from it.
Yep, same exact thing. Luckily, I removed the batteries as soon as it started smelling like burnt plastic which prevented a burn. I reached out to the company and they sent out a new one. I hope this issue does not come up again since I gifted it to a family member...@@david_does
A new camera is a decent response unless you were expecting them to pay for your medical bills and child’s college… site says buy high quality batteries. There’s the answer
I used their batteries because of the warning. They were the ones that had the issue. I guess the ones the provide aren't "high quality?" At any rate, I didn't expect anything more from them - just wanted to share my experience.

lmao yikes dude; I tried to get a review camera for my channel and they gave me such a snarky response. For this thing to randomly start on fire is quite worrisome, especially with kids using the camera. You could have easily burned down your house, dude. Scary shit to be honest.
