I just use de papered foamboard from WALMART, the 98 cent stuff. If your Walmart is anything like mine, it's probably in the wrong spot, and will look like it is $4+, but match up the tag to the label and get the 98c one... I like it way more than Dollar Tree foam board, way stronger.. anyways I use that and UV resin.. It's great. But yeah I use that Foamboard, then de-paper one side, make my wing, then sand it to shape exactly how i like, the walmart poster board sands great. After sanding just paint the entire wing surface with uv resin , then hit it with the uv light. I reccomend doing sections at a time unless you just randomly own some massive uv light lol. It's the next best thing to carbon fiber or fiberglass. Super rigid, and still super light-weight. You don't have to depaper both sides if you don't totally need the weight savings but it still works well either way! Just discovered it a couple days ago!😊
@@banko444 Could You recommend a good kind of arrow to buy in one of the webshops that is strong and light enough? Today came a mix of carbon arrow shaft (maybe there is more plastic than carbon in it), but it is heavy enough and even weak, so it won’t be high enough to start at. Maybe for a 1m plane, it might be good to cut it off.
Well hey neighbor, just across the Alabama state line in Elberta. Working on a foam board dlg patterned after the Elf. Very similar to yours. One question. I read somewhere the receivers close to the battery can give reception problems. Have you had any problems like this?
Haven’t had any trouble with it. I use an AR410 and beta fpv 300 mah 1s stick lipos now. Right next to each other. Works great. Adjusted the cg and reduced the camber today. This thing flys great now. Forgot the camera though. Not too shabby for about $10 worth of materials (barring the radio gear of course) Do yourself a favor and invest $70 in 2 kst x06 servos. Don’t waste a year like I did trying to make cheap crap work. They are worth every single penny. :-D. Armsoar USA has them in stock as well as the pulleys that are awesome.
