Papermaking Series: Fibers 

This isn't a simple question. It depends on the type of fiber you are using and how you beat it. Cooking the fiber can soften it, too.

I think I've watched those videos several times each and recently purchased the series you have offered, plus I have all your books. :) I am in the middle of making a restraint drying system. It's taking quite a awhile (price of triple corrugated cardboard!) and I guess it's not up to par yet since the abaca is still drying in that warped fashion. Could another factor be the pulp is not homogenous enough? Or I am not getting an even thickness when I make the paper? So many questions including: Do you ever offer an in-depth paper-making online course?

@@TheQuietMidden Oh gosh, I know what you mean... one problem leads to another! There are many variables that could cause this, so it is hard to diagnose your problem. I don't offer papermaking in depth online, but I do offer a couple of courses in my studio (Papermaking Master Classes and the Red Cliff Paper Retreat). it varies widely, depending on the fiber, how thick you make your sheets and what size sheets you make.
