"Papers please" "Reason for entry?" "I am visiting my son." "Duration of stay?" "90 days." "On the passport it says you are staying for.... 89.9 days." "Bu-" *DETAINED* "Glory to Arstotzka!"
TheSurvivor64 You have been guilty of paying under 5$ for a citation warning. This represents treason of the highest order. Your penalty is death. The border will remain open under a replacement inspector. Your execution will be scheduled for tomorrow. Goodbye inspector, Glory to Arstotzka.
No bullshit, it’s because of this game that I avoided being stranded in Atlanta without food or money. You start finding it fun, messing with paperwork, getting things clean and tidy, so I’d taken to keeping copies of stuff and old paperwork on me just to play with. Then my wallet (ID, Credit Card, etc.) was lost/stolen somewhere between my gate and the hotel the airline stuffed me in after my connecting flight was delayed, and every other member of my family was panicking over the phone, and I was just like “I’m fine, really, I’ve got a binder full of identification s*** on me,” and everyone else was like “why,” and all I could answer was “a video game.” In other news, right up until two months ago, I had a happy job as a bureaucrat managing paperwork at a community bike shop.
No need for passport, my friend. Anybody who creates the 'Stay Fresh' bag series I provide to my family through Arstotskan Government is welcome in my country.
My family is starving, my son is sick, I don't have any money for medicine and yesterday there was a terrorist attack at my workplace. But I got an award for sufficiency, so I got that going for me, which is nice.
Is nobody gonna talk about how absolutely *powerful* this song is? It’s so deep and full of bass and perfectly demonstrates the glorious nature of the game. Glory to Arstotzka
Papers, please. - Here. Your ID card spells your name as "Robinsky" and your passport spells it as "Robynsky". -Yeah I've had this problem my whole life please let me through!!! D E T A I N E D
the amount of math homework i have gotten done with this song is amazing i just pretend im trying to find discrepencys in the problems Glory to Arstotska
Hello student. We have detected a discrepancy in your math homework. This is treason of the highest order. A replacement student will be found easily. You have been given an F. Glory to Arstotzka.
In papers please, I let a guy in but before he left he said that his wife was next. Then when his wife came, turns out her passport was wrong but I still let her through. They were suicide bombers after all... *I never let a person with a single mistake now*
“Sir, in the picture I count 500 hairs. You now have 499 hairs. Any explanation?” “....it fell off?” “Okay, that’s good. You’re through. Glory to Arstotzka.” *terrorist attack intensifies*
What is so great about Lucas Pope? He doesn't just code the gameplay. He doesn't just write the music. He doesn't just paint the graphics. He does 99% of all of this of his games. He is a genius.
Your diligence has not gone unnoticed inspector. Your family will be brought up to a class 6 dwelling. Any citations against you have been overlooked. Loyalty to Arstotzka will not go unnoticed. Grestin Border checkpoint reopens tomorrow. Glory to Arstotzka.
Inspector, it seems you did not report the Mc Donald’s restaurant to your fellow guards. Allowing American food to be smuggled in will not be tolerated. This is treason of the highest order. Your execution is scheduled for tomorrow. A replacement inspector will be called to do your job. Glory to Arstotzka.
Man-“Please be nice to my wife, she’s next” Me-“Where’s your passport” Lady-“Please let me through, I will be killed” Me-“weeeeeelllll, the rules are the rules... next”. Newspaper-“lady found dead”
Nate_dawg 115 on her passport her weight claimed 12 KG her permit said 11.99 KG she was clearly using fake passport or permit. GLORY TO ASTOKTZA GLORY TO OUR FRIEND RUSSIA Is it just me or do I love they way Russians sound
Yeah... You do get this token thingy of you do help her, which has some or another use later. I would recommend letting her through next play through, it’s worth the citation.
It says here: Papers, Please Theme Song - Seamless 10 Minute Extension. 10:21 =/= 10:00 - Discrepancy found - "Sir the title was to mean an adverage amount of time!" *DETAINED*
Asked for this song to be played at the beginning of school. Later that day a note was given to me saying it was inappropriate. If that isn’t censorship by the state, I don’t know what is.
+JB Felix What is wrong with that logic? The passport might be a fake if the details on it are incorrect, it isn't always a case of "more weight = something being smuggled".
*denies cat* Cat: breaks door DETAINED CAT: Your owner has put you in a cell. You are under arrest. Safety of your cat food is unknown Glory to homestotzka
I remember playing this game for a whole week during summer. One day I had to go to the airport and when the security gave me back my documents I accidentally said "Glory to Arstotzka"
Psh. That's a 1st world country. Try crossing the border between Kazakhstan and Russia right about now and you'll get the full Papers Please experience.
I like how the song is kinda a parody of the game. 0:01 At first it’s simple and easy to follow, with not many rules or regulations, with no characters or moral choices. 0:23 Then it gets a little complex, with more bureaucracy and it being more difficult to approve people/feed your family, but it is still relatively easy/simple. It also starts to throw generic moral questions at you. 0:46 This is the turning point of the game, now it’s not just stamping approve or deny. The government, Ezic, and your friends are now involved with your choices, and you start to get invested in the game/story, with a pretty decent amount of things you have to search for. 1:20 Now it really picks up, their a lot of potential discrepancies, a ton of things to check, with very interesting and complex moral/economic decisions, it isn’t really like the beginning of the game, but still has some similarities.
As a former veteran soldier and Corporal of the 69th Kolechian Rifle Brigade, this is the best music ever that my Senior Officer caught me and I was detained.
@@unknowuser9821 Considering that I am a German, and, honestly quite the patriot, this music combined with this fact hits extra hard. The world we live in… Glory to Arstozka!
Also: "Papers, please." *Gives everything but permit* "Where's your permit?" *Gives permit* _I Am Now A Few Seconds Late Because of you_ Logic right there.
You are under arrest for throwing the man into the river in lego city. The penalty is building a rescue helicopter, followed by death. Your arms will be questioned for their involvement. A replacement lego head will be found easily. The fate of your legs is uncertain. Glory to Lego City.
You have exposed yourself as a dirty Kolechian spy! You cannot spell Arstotzka right! The execution is scheduled for tonight. Your family's safety is unknown. ~*Glory To Arstotzka*~
EZIC Name *gives inspector a little paper* you are arrested for denying a member of the government your family are arrested as well *a little note from ezic appears under your door* well shit we can't help you or your family have a good time in jail :3
Hello inspector, we have audited your activities for quite some time. At least one Ezic member has confirmed that you wrote “Papers, please” without the appropriate punctuation. That’s a discrepancy. But your comment has served Arstotzka well, we will overlook this small transgression. Glory to Arstotzka
Hello inspector, We have audited your recent activities This ten minute extension of the arstotzkan anthem has been approved by the arstotzkan government You have received 100 credits for creating this Glory to arstotzka
Hello sir, We have audited your recent activities. We detected that you did not write Arstotzka with a capital letter. Your trial will be held shortly. You will face imprisonment for up to 20 years. We cannot guarantee the safety of your family. Glory to Arstotzka
Imagine a foggy, cold day. Thousands of soldiers march down the street in perfect formation. All of them gazing up onto an elevated podium. There stands a dozen faceless men in green uniforms with peaked caps. In the middle of them stands a man in a dark suit, his right hand raised up in salute to the troops passing below. Above his head the emblem of the eagle, and the words "Glory To Arstotzka" written just below, while this anthem blasts loudly over powerfull speakers, able to be heard for miles away.
Checkpoint: Papers, Please. Citizen: Here you go. Checkpoint: Purpose of entry? Citizen: I come through country. Checkpoint: Duration of stay? Citizen: I say for 3 days. Checkpoint: *Looks over documents, twice to make sure of no mistakes* Checkpoint: Cause no trouble. Citizen: *Walks across checkpoint* Checkpoint: *Waits* |||^CLINK^CLINK^CLINK^||| M.O.A CITATION PENALTY= INVALID BULLSHIT Checkpoint: GOD FUCKING DAMN IT ALL
I hate that so much!!! You are 100% sure they are clear then you get a citation... then you realize it was some minor detail that you saw as correct then... that game makes you rage at 3am ;)
*NEXT* *Tries to drag the citation onto the next patron to no avail* Please take this...take this god damn citation...TAKE IT AS FAR AWAY FROM ME! ;~; *Shoves citation into the corner of desk to try and forget about it*
I am a Chinese player, and now in China, they are really starting to refuse us exit.....I saw on Twitter that many Chinese users were banned from leaving the country for various reasons, and the state media began to promote "Don't leave the country if you don't have to".....(It is said that many people have even had their passports withheld for some reason....) (WTF? What the hell am I living in?1984?I never thought that in this magical country where I live, it would be several times more difficult to leave the country than in the game....)
alexis miller exactly! That's why the game was made, so players can understand how difficult it was for people to travel from the west to east in those days!
