Nice to see Universal again although like much of Cyprus it has changed enormously since we first stayed there in 2008, in fact you have just driven past at least three of the apartments we have stayed in.The restaurant/bar you passed and missed the name of is Pambis and we have spent many a happy hour and quite a few euro there.
thanks for info, we moving there later this year. been to cyprus so many times, last year spent 6 months there to see if it for us, and yes it is. but your right about renting we going to rent first. cheers
Good advice. If we ever move to Cyprus we will definitely rent for a while to get a good feel of living in Cyprus and the best places to buy. How does the cost of living e.g. food, electricity, gas, broadband, council tax, water and mobile phone charges compare to the UK?
Council tax is a lot cheaper here. Ditto water. Not sure about electricity as we have solar. Food, it depends what you buy. If you stick to local brands it is cheaper I think. British brands more expensive. Marmite costs a lot, for instance. Petrol slightly cheaper here.
