2650 is not a port thu. 2300 is, lol. 2.3 and 1.9 are just really fucking efficient on max effort with stock displacement. Once more cubes are added, 2650 will outshine it.

@@streetsciencetx I figured! They'd walk me for sure. I'm ported heads, cam, pulleys, 5 inch intake, headers, e45. I'd have to jump to a 2650 but I'd need meth for fueling (which I'd rather not) or port injection which is pricey. Not to mention probably a monster clutch . So this next 150 or so horsepower is super expensive LOL

Well that all depends how much nitrous he's running and the bottle pressure of the runs too. Not just the shop and tuner.

@@MrDerekRobinson I deff could see that, but both of those things seem like something a competent shop and/or tuner would have sorted; before the guy goes out there and gets gapped.

@MyThreeMe true but there's always someone faster regardless and i bet the owner isn't too bent out of shape about it. What are you going to do when the guy you're running makes 100 more whp then you because his tune is more aggressive or his Trans is simply better, or you're having some slight issues spinning more than the next guy? Doesn't necessarily mean your tuner didn't sort things out. Perhaps some stuff by the owner was left on reserve to be addressed later because of costs. It's not always a quick to blame because a guy with a really fast car loses a race but usually wins plenty. It's more important to keep the motor in good shape at the very least and have fun while doing it. Surely being stupid quick also comes with random quirks and issues at a moments notice without being you aware of things until the next car gaps you and he claimed to make the same power on a totally different dyno
