Pappas is like going through the whole move list in Tekken during each fight. He's got Eddy Gordo's rolling kicks, Hwoarang's mule kicks and useless hand waving, and the weird alternate outfit of formal clothing. He's even got the before fight and after fight lines. Gotta admit if there was a STREET BEEFS: THE GAME, we'd all be Pappas mains.
Good fight. I love Pappas' resolve. He's lost a bunch of times but keeps coming. What a fucking warrior. Maksim looked great. I'm looking forward to seeing more of his fights.
That reversal from the ground, into the mount was impressive. Hopefully Pappas gets an opportunity to train before the next fight. He really needs someone with fighting skill to teach him some moves.
He doesn't seem like the kind of guy who would be interested in learning. I don't get the impression he takes it seriously at all which is surprising in a sport that can really hurt you
Look at my comments, I've always been a never-Pappas. However...! Great job dude, maybe your thing has always been MMA. Trad Boxing is to constrained for your natural instincts. get more experience and open up your game. Welcome back.
Every time Pappas put his hand behind his back, dude owes us 100 pushups. I want to SEE those pushups on the same video he fights in. Stop that martial arts movie crap, and respect your opponent.
Pappas Is having fun out there and i love watching him. One thing I do want to call out though no hate just stating the obvious the guy balls up on the ground too easy and turns around often while standing if he could get rid of those bad habits he would be winning more than losing. I think in the future he will be a freak the more experience the better. Go Pappas!
I always have mixed feelings about Pappas.... the dude is so game to get in there. Respect for that. But I just wish he was technically and tactically BETTER.
As always Pappas, the man with a lot of potential and no training (he's learning on the job.) I think he's had enough fights now he's getting more dangerous.
Maksim should've been disqualified. He through a blatant, purposeful illegal knee that landed clean and hard at 1:20. Then, the through several blatant, purposeful punches right to the back of the head at 7:04. 1 warning is enough, especially when these strikes were clearly not an accident.
Interesting hearing so much hate for Pappas at the beginning of this match by the bystanders. Seems like they’d all respect him since he’s there like them, putting in work in the Scrapyard. No matter what, this was Pappas strongest opponent and it showed a lot more of his fighting abilities. Good win by the man from Moscow. Smashed the 👍🏽
This guy is like Dan from Street Fighter. I think he has become somewhat of a peoples fighter, an entertainer more than anything else. Gotta give it to him for giving it a go. He's like Solo's younger brother.
Lmfao Pappas was 29 years old last year and now he's 28? They gotta start confirming height and age on drivers' licenses at least, even tho you're measured in shoes if at all at the DMV.
