The claim of just raising or lowering the light to adjust intensity is a joke the fact that a fuge light made by a company centered around there controller having no controllability is a ridiculous especially since the light is just a rebranded version of one that already existed

@@33catmama it's actually a rebranded 200s which is the smaller version. I have the E200 and I can change ever color channels intensity. Mine is about 8 inches above the water line it grows chaeto like crazy.

I thought the point of this light was to keep it 2" form the H2O line but BRS reg. 6"? kinda defeats the point of a slim sleek fuge light. IDK thinking about this light just trying to fully understand it.

What about some channel recommendations? I've had the Zetlight for a year and would like to know if I should just ramp all 4 channels up equally. Sorry - I'm a noob but I've kept my Chaeto alive for 2 years by just watching it. Need some advice on optimizations with this light.

Hey there! This light only has an ON/OFF functionality, so there is no control over channels or ramping. It's pretty straight forward which makes it really simple to use.

@@BRStv Groovy. This light (the "old" one) established and grew out my chaeto like dambusters and this light is fit-for-purpose. Thanks for the review - I hope the Apex folks can run a ramp-up/down schedule. For the owners of the "old" lamp I guess we'll just run all 4 channels evenly on intensity. Cheers from Jakarta.

If you have the Zetlight. I base mine on time of day. I start mine with 100 percent red and blue at 5pm at 8 PM 100 percent all red, 1am 100 percent everything but white, at 730 AM 100 percent all and at noon 100 percent off.

I'm embarrassed to ask the background of your channel schedule; Have I been missing out on providing specific PAR spectrums during certain times that assist in driving the chaeto's photosynthesis "metabolism" during its 18 hour lighting period?

@@warrenpenner2315 The red blue and cyan are the only ones needed by the chaeto for growth. The only reason I drop the blues and cyan at 730 is because I have an open refugium and my tank is in my living room so the red is less intrusive when watching TV at night, and in the morning my main lights don't come on until noon and I like the way the refugium looks with all the lights on it's like a second display lol. Really the only reason I turn them completely off is that there is a lot of living pods slugs and other stuff in my fuge and when the lights are all off everything comes out to play.
