Hehe I see alot of people posting it can't be used in mariachi. The bajo can be used in any music. It is not bound by any style, it is a traditional instrument but can be used for anything. Difference is no one wants to venture into different territory. I've used the bajo to play many styles and it lends its self to anything you can imagine. Think Eric johnson riffs on bajo. 😉

You can tune the 1st 2 sets of strings down a half step and now you have EADGBE solo tuning

The bajo sector is not for mariachi music,mainly its for conjunto music accordion,ranchera music etc,

Those are used for Norteño and Tejano music mainly

That is not a mariachi instrument, that's for nortenio music and besides you are not playing the right chords they don't use the regular chords for that instrument
